Felt really confused and disoriented in the first 20 seconds, but then I started grooving out with the rhythm and bobbing my head in 3/4. Very good rendition! I look up to this as a musician myself!

@@Aninok actually, the difference is that the pulse of 6/8 is felt twice per measure. Mathematically, you're right but in practice 6/8 is really 2/4 but felt with triplets (kinda)

These covers/remixes are just great, really :) In the major to minor themes, the work behind making them sound GOOD (instead of just forcing everything from the original audio into a minor key) is amazing, and in this one you made the theme fit into 6/8 so nicely (it DOES feel cursed at first, when you don't expect the time signature even after having read the title...). This is actually a really good example of how time signatures affect music and its feel
Felt really confused and disoriented in the first 20 seconds, but then I started grooving out with the rhythm and bobbing my head in 3/4. Very good rendition! I look up to this as a musician myself!

I was able to feel it in 3/4 because 6/8 is technically a multiple of 3/4 3 × 2 = 6 4 × 2 = 8

This gets even better when you listen closely and realize that this isn't just an edit- the entire song has been _completely remade_ in 6/8 time signature. That's insanely impressive. All that for a meme. Well done.

@Rysea also there’s no original soundfont since Wii games aren’t sequenced sadly, so I had to remake the sounds and midi myself Edit: meant to say most Wii songs aren’t sequenced; some are, but the majority aren’t
At first it sounds cursed but then I understood the rhythm and, hey, it actually sounds pretty good!

I love how this isn't just deleting half a beat to make it a janky 6/8 like how everyone and their mom does "insert theme here but its in 6/8". You literally changed the rhythms and composition to a totally different feel and I absolutely dig it. Good stuff as always!

THAT WAS MY FIRST THOUGHT WHEN HEARING THIS, although it is a Viennese waltz for sure (*war flashbacks *) and much too fast for international style waltz. (I did ballroom competetively for 11 years and could never look forward to the Viennese waltz rounds so jrksjfjsjgjdj--)

@@Aninok actually, the difference is that the pulse of 6/8 is felt twice per measure. Mathematically, you're right but in practice 6/8 is really 2/4 but felt with triplets (kinda)

These covers/remixes are just great, really :) In the major to minor themes, the work behind making them sound GOOD (instead of just forcing everything from the original audio into a minor key) is amazing, and in this one you made the theme fit into 6/8 so nicely (it DOES feel cursed at first, when you don't expect the time signature even after having read the title...). Keep it up, your content is incredible!

I see a bunch of pirate jokes, and I can kinda see it. I do like this though and it makes me want to play this at my next pirate adventure thing. That, or next time I fire a flintlock. Which I've never done, but overall this is peak and it's the treasure at the bottom of the rum bottle.
