I don’t think that a lot of people understand why Cocoa is supposed to be a Christmas/ Winter themed song. I remember how the last day of school right before winter break felt. Of course I was excited to finally be home for two weeks, but I was also exhausted from having to walk from classroom to classroom and rush to the buses at the end of each day. I was tired from worrying over getting all of my schoolwork done. And during high school, that exhaustion was amplified due to the new found fear of failing my mid-terms. So when I’d get home I would always sit down or take a nap and relax before doing anything else. I think that’s the vibe that Cocoa is supposed to give off. Resting so that way you can have the energy to enjoy the next two weeks of free-time that you’ll have off with your friends, family, or just to yourself.
