It’s always good to see Coco pull out wins against power hitters like Badosa, Saba, etc. I’m sure it gives her a ton of confidence. Also that forehand is starting to look a lot better

I think the clay is always going to help her forehand. she has more time to set and swing at the ball on clay, so the technical inefficiencies in her swing don't matter as much. I'll be interested to see how her forehand holds up when we switch to grass, but I think that this is how her forehand has always looked on clay.

I have always thought Riba was a great fit for Coco and wish he never left. I think having Gilbert and Him was just a bit much in one team. Look at what he has accomplished with Zheng. She made to AO final this year, took her to Top 10 and winning Matches. I truly felt the wrong coach left. To be honest, I wish Coco will revamp her team. A coach makes a difference, look at Sakkari? Amazing transformation. Raducanu made the mistake of splitting with her coach after US open win and it cost her.

It points out that she will absolutely demonstrate a more stable performance with her passion, energy, vibrancy and ebullience in the following months in order to watch herself at the apogee one more time. Although she was toppled by Gauff, it doesn't imply that Badosa won't advance her mobility and motion.

Coco, She will improve her serve. When she knows fault-trend, open toes. That's because she loses power. She does this unconsciously, so I think if someone taps her shins when she gets into open toes, it will help her improve. Badosa, she still has junior serve footwork. Right foot is overtaking left foot and her body is opening up before impact. Its improvement is the same Coco.

You said it, its womens Tennis. Men and Women are different.. physically, emotionally and otherwise. WTA will never be ATP. I enjoy the inconsistent and unpredictability of the WTA, mixing it up. I am beginning to enjoy the mix up I am seeing now on the men's side.

First of all, she just didn't barely win the 2023 U.S. Open, she swept the floor with Sabalenka. Sabalenka was so upset she was hitting her racket and yelling. She also won two more championships in 2023.

On points she’s no 3 and is reigning US open champion. Semi final in Australia, 1/4 final Stuttgart 4th round Madrid and won Auckland. The results are improving every year so will the points. The no 4 has pulled, out of 2 1000 tournaments so far. She just doesn’t have the points Coco whose points are adding up to maintain the ranking comfortably. I hope that explains it the WTA is a point system you can’t just catapult yourself to a ranking you haven’t earned no matter how much your fans think you deserve it. It doesn’t work like that I’m afraid. Let’s stop the debates and work with the numbers.

Ranking is based on total results over the past 52 weeks. If you got to the Finals of every tournament but never won a title, you would probably be ranked #2 in the world. Maybe even #1. That's just how it works.

@@wandaclark2649 actually that is very valid, aside from Iga players in top 5 by winning about 3 titles the whole season. Sablenka, Rybakina both stopped winning after clay last year yet still number 1 or 2.
