What a match! Paula is raising her level. Congrats Coco!!
It’s always good to see Coco pull out wins against power hitters like Badosa, Saba, etc. I’m sure it gives her a ton of confidence. Also that forehand is starting to look a lot better
@bonzwah1

I think the clay is always going to help her forehand. she has more time to set and swing at the ball on clay, so the technical inefficiencies in her swing don't matter as much. I'll be interested to see how her forehand holds up when we switch to grass, but I think that this is how her forehand has always looked on clay.
Bravo Coco! Way to fight! I love that third set scoreline

I passed up all the other highlights to see what Coco is doing!!! Let's go Coco, you are the entire package, young, gifted, exciting, good family, and black. Yes I said it.
Glad to see Coco fight back and win. Hopefully she can carry this momentum and confidence to her next match. Regardless of how she wins, it’s the heart and spirit that prevails. These comments about her wins being “ugly” is so unnecessary because all the top champs have hard fought “ugly” wins.
I’m so happy coco managed to win I was so nervous, congratulations team coco all the way

I feel like this gets said about Coco's matches the most of any woman on the tour and maybe even any tennis player, despite the fact that she's WINNING. So, that's why I'm fed up too lol 😑. Nobody wanna see a young, black woman dominate the game. Calling these wins "ugly" perpetuates a negative narrative and casts a shadow over her matches to make it seem like she's barely scrapping by. She's world #3!!!!

Many Congrats Coco 🎉,. The next match against Zheng will be one to watch because Zheng seeded #7 and Pere Riba (Coco's former coach) is now Coaching Zheng. I have always thought Riba was a great fit for Coco and wish he never left. I think having Gilbert and Him was just a bit much in one team. Any Coach wants to be able to coach freely and not constantly have a second eye watching them, giving different opinions, etc. All the best Coco.

@@chinyere6412 You got it right 100%. ESPN, Tennis Channel, BBC tennis commentator... then you have Riba, a great coach who's records speak for itself. Look at what he has accomplished with Zheng. She made to AO final this year, took her to Top 10 and winning Matches. I truly felt the wrong coach left. To be honest, I wish Coco will revamp her team. A coach makes a difference, look at Sakkari? Amazing transformation. Raducanu made the mistake of splitting with her coach after US open win and it cost her.

Congrats COCO for an amazing job.
coco has been so much more aggressive on her forehand! bravo for putting in the work!!!
Badosa has begun to compete more robust and relentless than the first quarter of this season. It points out that she will absolutely demonstrate a more stable performance with her passion, energy, vibrancy and ebullience in the following months in order to watch herself at the apogee one more time. Although she was toppled by Gauff, it doesn't imply that Badosa won't advance her mobility and motion.

I genuinely would like to know why you seem so bothered by her pointing at her brain. Even if she did not win the match, she clearly felt that she kept it together mentally to take the first set. Why does that offend you?
Saludos Y mi Comentario Badosa No puede Hablar De lo mental El Primer Set Se Toca La Cabeza Y A Su Entrenador le dice Con Movimiento De Su Mano Es Mental Pero El Tercero Set Lo Pierde Muy Fácil Nada Hiso Mental en Cambio Coco Siempre en Lo Que Estaba Ganar Y Así Fue
Coco, She will improve her serve. When she knows fault-trend, open toes. That's because she loses power. She does this unconsciously, so I think if someone taps her shins when she gets into open toes, it will help her improve. Badosa, she still has junior serve footwork. Right foot is overtaking left foot and her body is opening up before impact. Its improvement is the same Coco.
Seems like Badosa has the shots, but she doesn't have the conditioning yet for long matches. That should come after a couple more months back on the Tour.
Zheng is on fire with Perra as her coach but l believe Coco will be up to the task!
I forgot Coco's tennis in clay is good enough to get her to RG finals. I tend to think of her as hard court specialist.
@CA_I
16 күн бұрын
Well that's not right, she got to a rg final a few years ago and spent alot of time playing on European red clay in years past. It probably helps her game a bit as it covers up the dodgy forehand.
First set point finger to her head? End of the match point out of the tournament? 😂
🇯🇲🔥
So next match Coco will play against Zheng with her ex coach?😊

She will get there but in the mean time I think her other attributes have been good enough to win her a grand slam which are her beast of a mind and the most amazing back hand and fitness. On points she’s no 3 and is reigning US open champion. Semi final in Australia, 1/4 final Stuttgart 4th round Madrid and won Auckland. The results are improving every year so will the points. The no 4 has pulled,out of 2 1000 tournaments so far. She just doesn’t have the points Coco whose points are adding up to maintain the ranking comfortably. I hope that explains it the WTA is a point system you can’t just catapult yourself to a ranking you haven’t earned no matter how much your fans think you deserve it.
