#QuicklyCovered is a really simple idea: I ask you guys to suggest and vote for a song you want me to cover, and then I learn it, cover it, film it and finish it before the day is over. It forces me to move really fast and removes the temptation to over-think - kind of like the old days of KZread when I just started uploading covers :) This was fun. More to come.

12 hours before the upload: Cobus on a payphone, "Good morning Mr. Cobus. Your mission should you choose to accept it is to write, perform, record, mix and edit a cover of Limp Bizkit-Take a look around. You have 12 hours to complete this mission. As always, should anything go wrong, the agency will disavow any knowledge of your actions. This message will self-destruct in five seconds. Good luck, Cobus."

hi liked it very much. mind writing the notes for fill at 1:24 ?
The thing that gets me about this drum cover in particular isn't how powerful it is, nor is it how groovy it is, nor is it Cobus' facial expressions or how in time it is. I've sort of come to expect that from Cobus, he's that talented you just know he will produce a masterpiece every time and have an absolute blast while doing so... The thing that gets me though is the transitions. The way Cobus can build up to the chorus, turn it into a huge crazy eargasm that has everyone rocking out, and then as soon as the verse starts again he's back into the groove on a dime. Just phenomenal. Cobus, I salute you!
Bro... How are you not on a world tour with a band right now? You're a beast.
That was so awesome - loved your extra fills compared to the original drum part, especially at the end!

What
Brother! Your talent and what you’ve done to self teach is remarkable. I’ve followed you for years. Won’t lie. Haven’t seen every video but it’s crazy to watch what you’ve done thru the years. It blows my mind the dislikes and some comments. When playing it’s all about taste and what you need to put where. Not sure I’ve seen a drummer that does cover that approaches it like that especially with you talent. Seen a comment where they thought you were pushing to much. I didn’t think it one time in this. Maybe cause I know your talent and know you can put a lick anywhere you want when you want. The placement was killer. It was as if Otto was pumping for a show and added shit. People are spoiled or don’t know what it is to think further into playing. It’s more than just playing what you hear. When you play what you hear you get creative to replicate that sound but use the tones to make you think it’s the original. Every second you’ve poured into the craft is not unnoticed from me and my fellow playing buddies here in Nashville. Great cover as usual brother. Stay safe and will continue to watch!
I was at 6th grade when the first time I’d heard this. Now at 31, still having those goosebumps. Damn! LIMPBIZKIT!
love watching these sort of videos, shows how good the original drummers are with they come up with there grooves etc.
Haven't heard this song in years. I forgot how much I loved it back in the day. Such a head banger!

Cobus, you are the most fluid and completely natural drummer I have seen in a long time. I wish I could hear music the way you probably do. The fills are effortless and you look as comfortable behind the kit as if you were sitting on your bed. Bravo young man, well done!
He is playing all the parts with so ease like even he closes his eyes he can crack it up. Awesome skills my man.
My all time favorite drum cover! Been watching it for so many times. Thanks Cobus!
LOVE THE SOUND OF YOUR KIT
I never seen a bad cover played by him. Perfect chops, perfect grooves, even in the beggining when I saw him playing toxicity. The only word that I can say is WOOW. Grettings from Colombia bro. I admire you so much

I like your body balance when you play, it's impressive how you stay upright even when it's getting fast and you feel the power of the song.
Dude.. that was the best cover of this song I’ve ever seen. Holy crap. Keep it up buddy!
By his movement, by his demeanor, you can already tell, he's obsessed with drumming. He's the guy on the train that will virtually play Limp Bizkit or Led Zeppelin or YYZ for you, if this air drums were connected to a drum set. The guy that'll sit there drumming their thighs whenever he feels like orchestrating a beat. He's done all of these on any mode of transport you can think of. And that's why he's not only good at it, but loving it in the process

Air drumming and beating/tapping on things other than drums is usually something that fades as you get better (and older). Professionalism sets in after about 10 years of consistent playing. It looks and sounds kinda corny at that point. When I was in High School, us new drumline guys pounded on everything, including ourselves. However, I never saw any of my drum teachers randomly air drumming or banging on anything that wasn't a drum
