A video on cleaning them would be cool :) Nice content, always something extra special about watching cooking from source to plate. Any chef can pop to the supermarket. But one that goes and physically gets the food is different

If you want the breading to stay on you need to dip them in egg and then the bread crumb otherwise all the good breading comes off in the oil

you need to mix some eggs first with the clams so the panko can stick to them when you fry them like calamari.

@@washingtonlife I was an oyster farmer for 14 years and thats the way i coated my oysters so they're not "eggy". Because you're 100% about egg and shellfish. Edit: if you put them live in seawater overnight, they should spit out all their sand so you dont have to cut the guts or eat sand.

@@washingtonlife You're welcome mate. I've been enjoying your videos because we have different shellfish in the South Pacific. The tactics are the same. Ive used the bucket method for Pacific Geoduck 100 times but this "clam gun" you use seems way more efficient.

@John Hobbs You can search craigslist for clam guns. Lots of folks have a "cottage industry" of making them. They're also fairly easy to make out of PVC pipe. They're not as nice as the metal, but a lot cheaper.

Couldn't tell for sure who did the digging and who held the bag. One gun, one bag, two guys. In WA and OR, each licensed clam bag holder is required to dig their own clams unassisted. Fines are steep!! There is a handicap assistance rule, but you guys are clearly exempt from that.
