Wish Frost would commit back to this. It truly is Nebraska football and our best ‘angle’ on the top teams that draw kids who want warm weather and pro contracts. We can’t recruit QBs like that but we can develop programs that say- we will have fun, be tough, get you an education and be part of a college contender. That’s our angle and frankly it’d be refreshing.

The I formation worked for 25 years and then we got away from it...do what works, linemen that like to run block and backs that want to hurt people

The base formation and play, any idea how this would be called, the verbiage? I’m deep diving coastals O, I love it, just super interested in how the WB would call this play in the huddle

not sure on that one. I know that when I was running the triple the old way when I was in high school we used numbers to call it. Now I would have a couple of different words to tell the line the concept and tag everything as far as motions and stuff off of it. If that doesn't make sense let me know and I will try to help in any way.

Hey man just trying to expand my knowledge of the sport, but that play design at 1:03 would it cause a flag for illegal formation because you have 6 lined up at the line of scrimmage and 5 in the backfield I'm counting the WR to the very right in the back field, so will or will it not draw a flag for illegal formation. Just asking

@@ThePigess That is an awesome question. That is my dream as well. My number one advice would be to get in touch and do not be afraid to talk to and learn from other coaches. Find a way to be around good coaches. The other thing that I would say is to create the habits that you think a college head coach would have. Doing the research on the game and the work to keep good relationships and networks with people that you admire.

Not for sure but it doesn’t look like to me that they widen out much more than the two foot splits.
