    Hola Mark, I'm like a big old bear I have to hibernate when it gets that cold. It's good to see that you guys are human but you didn't blank and that's the main thing. Really enjoyed the video, thanks, regards Jim

    A really good, and honest video. You don't always get massive hauls of fish. I really enjoyed the way it was filmed. Brilliant !!

    good honest video mark as you said its called fishing not catching, only ever broke the ice to fish once 20 years ago and caught 3 roach and 2 nice perch on maggot one nearly 2lb I weighed it in carrier bag and it felt like I had won the lottery when its hard and don't expect it it feels more rewarding

    My days of going in that weather are done... I'm 38 and I go on a few mild days threw the winter only. I used to go and crack lakes at 8am but not now!

    Well done with persevering to make these videos when it is really cold. Really hard fishing the back end off last and the start of this year. Think the fish got wind that the weather was not going to be good and nipped abroad for the winter lol

    personally i'd have fished those two lines the other way around. Bread along the reeds/bridge. Then mags out in the open/deeper water.

    A really nice video. But a lot of things I would never do in winter, like tipping in maggots and pellets. In my experience it tends to stop the bites alltogether...

  • @poppypoopapie
    @poppypoopapie6 жыл бұрын

    I think I can give you a good tip this time, leave a small bait box behind you and now and again top up with pinkies or maggots using your pole cup, this saves the robin having to grub about in the grass hunting when he could be feeding straight from the bait box.Ha Ha but once again an excellent video helping us not as adept as you.

    mark , here is a tip for you, find yourself an old put over pole and fit a weed cutter to the top section , it will cut the ice in no time .

    that's the truth about fishing. Mark will you do a class on why fish are some times sitting at certain depths are they in a thermal layer or is there a layer in 6ft of water . I think most of use fish dead depths apart for bread fishing to a man.

    Iain, that could have worked, Mark based his approach on what he knows of the venue, where he was dobbing was a sunken, lilly bed that comes to the surface in the winter, it usually holds a lot of fish.
