Kind of ironic how that yard office sign has the old C&O predominates over the newer CSX. Old traditions Die Hard. Thank you for taking the time to photograph from the flood wall and those are some massive Stone piers holding everything up. I felt right at home watching all those CP & SOO covered hoppers roll and here we are well into the merger and only one KCS car to keep them company. Glad CSX put out a train. Two green sticker bad ordered rotary hoppers with a mini train of ethanol cars attached to a full sized empty Frac sand unit train from the gas and oil areas. A great kickoff to the week and even a few days to dry out from all the rain

D-P-U-I-C-U x 2, intermodal going over that massive bridge. The blocks in the bridge columns look massive, hard to tell from a distance. Always a good place to video Jaw.

Hi JT, What a coincidence I saw an intermodel with 2dpu's but it was in Iowa! I've not seen one until then but this is awesome going over the beautiful bridge, it was a monster intermodel. So the bridge is just over 100 years old! It's holding up well JT. I like the tracks in Cattlesburg KY. Fab coal train too with the 3 locos. Enjoyed this video very much JT. ❤😊👍

An excellent mixed freight going over the bridge into Ohio. It had 151 +/- cars with a mid train DPU! It was followed by a rather short intermodal, which was a good train also. 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤

Nice footage and catch on Intermodel train, NS runs big doubled up IMs with distributed power on that line, I filmed one in Radford VA at Walton were the Bluefield line and Bristol line junction on Friday with the mid helper DPUs coupled pilot to pilot/nose to nose on Friday, thoght it was the same IM You filmed but different,nice video in Kenova!🛤🚂

The Ohio boundary is based on the original surveys that took place back in the late 1700s. This was before there were locks and dams on the river. So the Ohio's border to West Virginia occupies part of the Ohio today. Google Earth actually shows this.

Up here in Alberta there are 2 really long bridges one in the southern Alberta city of lethbridge The bridge is a mile long and it has been in use since 1909 and also near wainwright in east-central Alberta there is a bridge that is about 2700 feet long and it was built in 1908 and just like lethbridge the trains still run over it . The 2 locomotives that you caught were the ones that you saw on the coal train in part 1

We had a good CSX mixed freight that came under the bridge going pretty fast. It was a good train, too. It was followed by 2 lonely NS locomotives going to pick up cars down by the river. What was the equipment in the background, JT? 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤

This is a question for you folks who know more about RR than I do; I saw somewhere that the painted end of the coal hoppers was the end with the swiveling coupler and they all had to be in the same direction so the hoppers could be dumped on the rotary dumpers. All the coal trains on Mr. Jaw Tooth's channel don't follow this convention. Why?

Thank you for this video of the second part of your part of your recent trip to Kenova, West Virginia on 3 June 2024, Jaw Tooth! The long intermodal train at the beginning of the video needed the mid-train double DPU to help it travel to its destination. The CSX coal train at Sand Patch Junction was a good catch. The Norfolk Southern mixed freight going south on the bridge with the single DPU had a variety of freight cars.
