Coal forge paddle or small shovel

A small shovel, sometimes called a paddle, is a useful tool used for maintaining a blacksmiths coal fire. This simple tool for use in the shop is a great place to try out some new ideas.

By 11:58 I'm thinking, "Enough, don't ruin it!" But you go on and bring even closer to perfection. Bob Ross indeed. Though you may have not have the need for one, a trowel, like those used by archeologists would be a similar project. I wouldn't mind seeing how you develop the ridge at the juncture of the handle and the blade. Normally the "cheap" ones are welded and always break at that point. A free Mason legacy project.

My dad used to make armor for a medieval reenactment group some 30-40 years ago, so he'd probably join me at it too, and we still have some of his hammers. but yeah, it's a thing, Ill do it, but it won't be soon.
