Hearing a Xmas song while on a tornado chase just outside the Chicago area tells u we are in odd days for sure.

I live less than a mile away from where the tornado hit the Shell/DQ station. We actually got some wind damage. A speed limit sign blew into our yard, and a big, rotten pine tree was leaning on our neighbors house!

I lived off Couny Line Rd. Off to Girot Ln. I lost my House

I live in neighboring Braidwood and had been out spotting around noon that day. I was in the high school parking lot watching this system on radar. Had every intention of going out later that afternoon, but my work schedule prevented that from happening. Good job and your video is awesome. Keep up the good work.

I also live in Braidwood as well. The 2015 Tornado almost hit the nuclear plant before it disappeared.

it's amazing how weather changes in seconds

I was out there sitting in the high school parking lot around noon. At the time it didn’t look too promising so I left with intentions of going back out that afternoon. Man I wish I had, the tornado would have been right down the road and I would have been in perfect position to see it.

I live in Coal City but was out of town when this tornado hit.

6 years ago to this very moment. Then another one two years later. I still find shingles in the woods

I have watched literally hundreds of tornado videos over the years, and the video quality here is hands-down the best I've ever seen. Could you please indicate the exact brand and model of camera you used here? Thank you much!

This supercell was intense, forming the EF2 that hit Pekin, then the EF4 that hit Washington, then redeveloping another EF2 that hit Coal City (Where your near in the video) and Diamond then dissapated over Manhattan on the south side of chicago. Wanting to be a Storm Chaser myself, i was amazed watching this supercell on radar go a long distance for it being in Illinois

Illinois seems more lightning active than any other states,why is that?

I have a Video on my channel of this tornado, we were out spotting and it touched down so fast and we had no choice but to go for the ditch. I took the camera with me.

Yes and it has been done. I have seen it on the actual show called "Storm Chasers". I couldn't tell you the episode but they did get close enough and flew an aircraft close enough to the tornado and dropped parachuted weather instruments which were then sucked in by the tornado.

scariest day of my life. and i have fotage of the tornado from my br. and after like 1 minute worth of footage i decided to head to the basement cause death wasnt going to happen that day. all my life i wanted to see one and now that i have ...i kinda do and dont again

That’s my gas station I live in the apartments over by there

I intercepted this tornado and was able to capture 113 MPH ground wind speed. Power pole snapped a lot of grass debris. I was on the east side of the storm when the tornado formed. v=cgroqxxpnlc

Should've stayed at DQ dude, instead of riding all over the countryside.
