thank you for this! i just bought a house and my inspection requires a vent in the crawlspace so i'm glad this is much easier to do than i thought it was

One item you might want to add is to verify before choosing a location that there is not a filled cell with vertical rebar in it.

@@cmnr8487 there might be an inspection hole at the bottom of the wall but you can always use a hammer to tap lightly and feel where the wall is hollow or filled by hearing the change in sound.
