@@idirishassan4081 Fat shaming is NEVER good. Respectful and kind ENCOURAGING is the way to help over weight people be healthier and feel better about themselves. All fat shaming does is makes someone feel worse about themselves. It does not help AT ALL I know from experience. The bullying and fat shaming I went through for years caused me to gain MORE weight not less. It made me have horrible depression and terrible self esteem. SO no fat shaming is not a good thing honey. I hope I caught you before you turn into the coach in this story.

Overweight people have feelings, yes. But this shouldn't be used as an excuse. If you REALLY want to get rid of that fat. Then work out, it benefits you and others around you. That isn't called fat shaming. It's realism. Fat shaming is when someone can't change their body weight due to mundane and rare sicknesses. And in most cases people are just lazy and use excuses. So fat shaming to an extend is good. It motivates others to go to the gym and become a better version of themselves.

@@LazyAlligator But we don't know why people chose to be obese. Yes, it's unhealthy for people but also, you shouldn't judge someone without knowing the struggles they're having. Skinny people aren't always healthy as well. Depends on the person and what they do. Shaming someone's body isn't motivation. Do you know the definition of motivation? What you're saying isn't motivation. Fat shaming involves criticizing and harassing overweight people about their weight or eating habits. Counter to what Maher suggests, embarrassing someone is counterproductive as a motivational factor to lose weight. Multiple studies have shown that weight discrimination causes stress and leads overweight people to eat more calories. In fact, a 2019 study published in Pediatric Obesity found that teasing kids about their weight is linked to increased weight gain well into adulthood - and the more teasing that kids and teens experience, the more weight they may gain. ( This is all sources you can look at when you have the time). If you want to motivate someone to lose weight, you can, emphasize good health, if anything. You may think that someone would feel better about themselves if they lost weight and built up more muscle, and perhaps they would. But the most important rationales for weight control are a person’s good health and longevity, and those are also good motivators for reaching and maintaining a healthy weight. It is fair to mention weight control in the general context of preventative health care but it is cruel to bring the subject up in ways that make someone feel they are not taking responsibility for themselves. Encourage healthy eating. Teach overweight friends and family members how to prepare healthier food, or learn alongside them. With adults, trade recipes and cook together. Give children colorful cookbooks designed to teach them about healthy eating and let them pick some of the recipes for family meals. Always talk about food in positive ways. Comments like “I found this delicious way to cook snow peas with fresh ginger!” or “Wow! This picture of smashed avocado and tomatoes on warm pita bread really makes me want to eat it for breakfast!” will more likely encourage someone to prepare and enjoy healthier foods than simply telling them what they should or shouldn’t eat. These are sources that I looked up.

When I was in grade school, I was soo confident..I've joined dancing and even a majorette for our school..but it's changed when I was in high school..My confidence is became low, due to my appearance..I became A little bit chubby one..that's why I refraind myself doing things that i loved to avoid bullies..😔

Fat shaming people is completely unacceptable and disgraceful because it makes others feel uncomfortable about the situation I understand we live with ups downs where we get treated badly we can’t tolerate this type of behavior.
