    One of the most impressive things about Ibra is that he bullies defenders. He’s 6’5, defenders usually have to deal with shorter forwards, not forwards who are bigger/stronger than themselves. He’s also still killing it right now at 39 yrs old (way past anyone’s prime for soccer players)

  • @baverfjant

    @baverfjant

    Жыл бұрын

    In more recent times yes shorter forwards have become more common, but it's still very common for strikers to be as big or about as big as the defenders. Remember Drogba? Lewandowski, Benzema and Haaland are together with Mbappé the hottest strikers at the moment, all three of them are quite powerful. The most unique thing with Zlatan is the combination of his size, strength and technical ability. Larger strikers are usually not known for their skills and acrobatic moves but Zlatan does that while also bullying defenders.

    @@thomascoleman2180 But it kind of is. Strikers are often powerful. Apart from Mbappé every other top striker in the world right now is quite big and powerful. another thing worth mentioning, is that he suffered one of the most devastating injuries I have ever seen, with 36 years old, he landed and his knee extended more than 180°, breaking 2 ligaments and toring his meniscus. some doctors said he should have retired, but he came back like a year later, and conquered MLS, then went back to Italy, and since then he have guided his team to a place in the league they didn´t had for like 10 years. even now, with 39 years, if it wasn´t for recurrent injuries he had suffered this year, he would be the top goalscorer in serie a, and maybe one of the best strikers in the world

    The bicycle goal from outside the area received a Puskas award and is the farest bicycle goal ever, also he was the first (and maybe only one) to scored a goal on his debut in every new league he’s been in ( being 4 of them top Europe leagues Premiere, Serie A, La Liga and Ligue 1, plus MLS in the LA Galaxy), also wining every league at least once. +550 goals. The only player that have played the Champions League with 7 different teams, and to have scored 2 digit number during 11 season consecutively only along CR7 and Messi.

    He has pretty much the opposite personality to Asahi (Ace/Man-bun). Asahi is very nice and veeery timid, while Zlatan is very arrogant and quick to get into a fight or confrontation.

    But his not like that all the time, in fact he is quite humble and really funny, thats just his persona he's showing off and agaist the press, they been hard to him since day one and way back when he played in Malmö, Sweden, when he was a youngster. But he is very aggressive on the field, he says it himself, it makes him fight harder...

    It is just part of his personality and he had a really rough start in life. He never felt supported in Malmö FF because of his personality and his father wasnt reliable. Zlatan is smart and have a lot of humour people fail to see that and often take his ways much too serious! He is (in my humble opinion) an artist on the pitch and outside the pitch in interviews and making bold decisions with his agent etc.etc.

    Zlatan is a bit of a god. If Messi and Ronaldo hadn't of been around he would have at least 2 ballon Dors.

    Coach, dunno if you've reacted yet to Ronaldo R9 (not Cristiano, the other guy, the Fenomeno) yet but he was the original GOAT for me as a kid. He had the skills of Ronaldinho and the strength and finishing of Cristiano, he was the complete striker at the height of his powers.

    Zlatan is a great example of an athlete who would have been superb at any sport he tried. Physically, he's perhaps the most gifted footballer I've ever seen - far more naturally talented than other players whom I would consider to be superior assets. The closest physical specimen I can think of is CR7. They're similarly built and seem to move in much the same way. Zlatan is the larger, more powerful athlete. He's nearly as light on his feet as Ronaldo and he appears to be more flexible. Note: I'm not saying that Zlatan is a better *footballer* than Pelé, or Maradona, or even Messi or Ronaldo... But I do believe that he's the most impressive physical presence and all around athlete of that elite group.
