Unless he's being interviewed by the Media. He was consistently a rude, classless dick to so many Media members during in-game and post-game pressers. There was no reason for it. Those people were just doing their jobs. Let's face it, it's just basketball they're covering, not world politics or science. There simply aren't that many intellectually compelling questions to ask about men playing a basketball game. Any time Pop didn't like a question, he was curt, condescending, and outright rude to whoever asked it. Oddly, no one called him out on this crappy behavior. Everyone just gave the man a pass. I'll never know why. I'm glad his team has sucked for many years now, because he doesn't have the ability to get away with such awful behavior.

Dirk respect those guys. They have a back and forth rivalry between Pau, Dwade, Tony against Dirk. Pau: european supremacy in olympics or in fiba euro Tony: as a spurs core, mavs and spurs has a heated rivalry in the playoffs and spurs always the wall that Dirk can't surpass in early 2000s Dwade: heat and mavs finals. Dwade beat mavs for the title in 2006 and mocking Dirk when he was sick in the finals

The key words are "didn't always" it means an initial dislike that gradually transitioned into fond appreciation. That's normal among competitors. They did push each other to greatness.
