    Oh by the way, you were right about NXT strings breaking fast. I strung my RF97 with Wilson nxt 17g last month and spent most of the time practicing on a top spin pro. Exactly a month from the date I got it string, I finally hit the courts with my new slinger machine and 200 balls in. It snapped twice in the middle during me practicing on my one handed backhand. My backhand contact felt good too but when I heard a snap I didn’t look right away. Swung at two more balls and both flew high forcing me to look at my racquet and behold. I don’t know if practicing on the top spin pro had anything to do with it but I’m sad I won’t be stringing 17g anymore. I used to be a string breaker in my early days but didn’t expect it to break this fast since I just got back into tennis a month in a half ago. Not a fan of full polys and like multifil. Finally trying hybrid with feds set up and I love it. If the multifilament 16 doesn’t last longer than the hybrid champs choice, I’m staying with the nat gut n Alu rough. I’m already paying 30 plus bucks to get it strung with a multifil so going gut and poly won’t ne that much different in price for me

    @@gavlatennis2824have you actually tried these for an extended period? For a pro player using multiple racquets with fresh strings throughout a match, these strings might not be special. But for others like me who play multiple days between restringing, these strings are game-changing for my wallet and time. Plus they actually feel good and play well, with unique personalities. Having to restring less frequently (every month or two versus every two weeks) while still loving the feel of the string/racquet has made tennis more enjoyable for me.

    @@akbarberlian2x sounds about right. In my area the restringing labor costs just as much as the strings themselves, so it’s mostly about restringing less. Hyper G notches fairly quickly and gets stuck out of place, but will still snap back if one hits hard. So it’s maybe something like 1.5-2x for heavy hitters and 3x longevity for lighter hitters who don’t crush balls on every stroke.

    Restring is a complete joke, especially when you have all those options avail. Zero SnapBack (pun intended) no pocketing and not much spin. For the same price you can have the Volkl V-square, currently the stings with most spin potential according to TW. The downfall of the Volkl is that it will only last 2 sessions (4hrs) or so that it will spray the ball. But once you sting it up, you’ll see how slick and “snappy” it is. I’d use restring 0000 zero 0000 in my weed wacker - best case scenario

    What ever your guy says at 5:01 regarding Restring Zero, the Exact opposite is true! Zero snap back, zero string movement and definitely no pocketing. Weed wacker string status. Hyper-G still much better IMO and as far as spin potential, nothing comes close to the Volkl V-Square followed by the RPM rough both in 17 gauge. I really don’t understand the hype about the blue monster. Wasted about 50 bucks on several sets all strung in the Pure Strike 97 and no matter what tension, the results were the same.

  • @robertgarcia2266

    @robertgarcia2266

    Blue monster lasts and is soft, something many strings cant do. They are soft and slick and keep your arm intact while giving some control. Ever other brand, besides hyper G soft is close for spin and "comfort". Id say stiffer stiffer string such as solinco can generate more spin, but hurt the arm for some. If you say drop gauge to make them soft, sure, but now its lasts even less when restring stay good for awhile.

  • @tesladiesel2420

    @tesladiesel2420

    @@robertgarcia2266 the Blue Zero is definitely not “soft” imo. It’s a very stiff string, when compared to Volkl V-Square or even the Babolat rpm rough in 17 gauge. Definitely not slick either and, this is evident as you are stinging it up trying to pull the crosses by hand. It’s coated with some sticky waxy stuff that prevents the strings from moving. According to TW Academy the Volkl and Babolat stings are mentioned have the lowest String-to-string friction. To give you an example, the same value for the hyper-g is almost double. (Bad) The Blue Zero has probably 10% better (less) friction when compared to Hyper-G. Better than Hyper G but really not that great. In my opinion the Blue string plays very dead. however, it maintains tension fairly well. That being said, we cut the strings out after 4-5 sessions regardless of where the tension is. Again, i do NOT understand the hype about Blue Zero. Is it the “underdog” thing? I mean, I kind of understand that but I am not willing to waste my time beta testing while also paying for some like that..? I know some of these channels are “encouraged” to speak highly about it and it’s pretty transparent but also understandable. With Blue Zero you get something that’s unknown, stiff with not much spin potential and costs More than Volkl, Hyper G or similar. Or for me and all IMO.

    @@tesladiesel2420 maybe it's the gauge you used. A 17 gauge may feel softer then a 16L. I played with restring zero for a while, didn't love it but it's definitely got snap back till it breaks. I'm not sure where or what your conditions where but it's last longer then the strings you have used as examples. Hyper g locked up after a few hours and stopped moving as much, restring did not. My caviar from Toroline, after 5 hours is starting to stick, zero never did this ever. I don't love it because the way it plays when struck hard, it pull.back your power to much but it was amazing on med strokes and touch. I'm not a fan boy of this string, it just saying it doesn't have the best snap back is mind blowing. I had it strung in my aero at 50 lbs 16L and it was soft to me. Maybe the harder you hit like huge swings,.then that stiffness creeps in because it holds you back (why I didn't like it) but it's buttery on anything other then huge strokes. Hyper g was way stiffer

    @@user-kb4tn5tu1u in SE Florida, 93 degrees and about 150% humidity lol! We tested the Zero 1.23mm gauge in a Pure Strike 97 (2024) Volkl is by far the slickest string currently on top of TW Academy’s chart as most spring potential (due to being so slippery) but the downfall of the V-Square is that, it only lasts about 4hrs max then it stretches a lot. We cut it out every 4 days or so and use fresh set so I am not really concerned about longevity. If Zero sold those at like 5 dollars a set, it would probably make sense. But at 14 bucks, when you can buy Volkl, Solinco, Technifibre etc for the same amount, it just makes no sense to me. I don’t want to beta test at my own expense but some people don’t mind doing that I guess.

Wasabi was soft and provided great spin with a slight higher launch then hyper G. I can't say the same about Vokl cyclone for example. a sting that might as well be weedwhacker string. My arm gets destroyed by that string. There brands offer control, soft strings that last longer then other soft control strings. Dont understand the hate
