​​@@rennakamura4889yeah and that's why his teammates didn't like him I guess, especially when they lose, Fwydchicken also said in an old stream(I can't remember when it was) that Zane scolds them when they lose even if it's just scrims and stuff, but I think that's just understandable and it shows how serious he is about the game and I think that's pretty commendable, that's why a lot of people, players and casters, in NA still respects him, because he quite literally brought hope to NA MLBB along with the old BTK during M3 since ML was dying and losing hope on growing in NA at that time, to the point that even Hoon left the game for Wild Rift, and it's the reason he's the face of NA right now and I think he deserves it, he just needs to work on his choice of words I guess since he's really straightforward and harsh that's why he gets a lot of hate.

Solo queue is worst, even if you do take all the turtles, the randoms starts being dependent on you and starts throwing. Ultimately WASTING ALL 30 FUGGING MINUTES OF HARDWORK.

In pro scene, every advantage is important. Echo just crushed blacklist on every category of the game. All lanes were in echos favor, so they have a better set up when taking the turtle

@@clangclang8933 they cant do any of that coz they were outplayed in all lanes. Owl was solo killed by benny a couple of times, edward cant make plays due to constant pressure of sanford and sanji or yawi, midlane was outrotated most of the time and wise was just outclassed and outfarmed by Karl in the jungle. Game 4 was the only close game but immediately countered by echos aggressive playstyle

@@clangclang8933 but if you let a team like echo get all the turtles without contesting, their confidence will just sky rocket and end the game with only the 1st lord. Like what happened on mpl ph S11 finals. Only in game 4 where bL put up a resistance but quickly over turned because echos confidence at that time was at the max

For me turtle is a good to have. It helps those who are losing gold at their lane. Its not much but it does gives advantage. Since we are unable to look into the late game scenario, as a jungler, it is the best they can do for their team in early

Nah as a jungler I mostly gank the gold lane knowing they're vulnerable at that time when tabks and mages are busy on turtles, but well I'm still up onto turtle stealing but starting it ain't worth the time

Yeah i've noticed that too...this is why sometimes i jsut give up on turtle especially in soloq where i don't have any support and i focus on other things

But the problem is Echo can utilize the little advantage of turtle (buff and extra gold) when they got it easily they still have the resources to go for a clash while Wise is looking for another objective at the other side of the map, echo will punish the lane where the turtle spawns.

that's strange bcoz when a random video where coach bon talking to his solid main 5 blck during an big tournament he said, "turtle wins the game".

Maybe before it was super important because who gets to build first always gets the upper hand midgame. But because of how the game currently is, with gold plated turrets, gold bearing minions, and additional golds for certain emblems, it ain't a big deal anymore as you can easily build your core items. But still, it can advance your team so, worth taking if available

It depends ,if turtle ie really worth for a team wiped out ,just to get a turtle buff

If it's two teams with equal skills, the one to get the turtle will always win. Especially Echo, their style is after they get the turtle they get aggressive and tower dive if there is an opportunity. You will only give up on the turtle if your draft isn't geared for early game or your team never got into position to take it. So PLEASE DON'T always give up on turtle in ranked games. He made an example on the OMG game but they won that series because of skill issues. It can work if you are on a five man team and your team is advanced when it comes to rotating. I wish he emphasized that part, now a lot of junglers on ranked games will do it too.

There's a catch if you give up on your turtle, you must have something in return. It's called a trade, if the opponent is in favorable position for turtle, you can give it up entirely by going for something different which is : take enemy buff, and gank the gold lane. However most people don't seem to understand and force to contest it, ending up enemy getting a turtle + a kill on jungler + buff invasion + emotional damage cuz the jungler will trash talk the whole team for not helping to set up, which is a very horrible scenario. Guys, if your enemy team is more prepared for turtle, no need to force it just look for a trade elsewhere in the map.

​@@kavier2581 They tried this on ECHO. Watch the game 1. Wise went for the purple invade as a trade for the turtle, ECHO prevented him. This strategy only works for non-macro teams like OMEGA. ECHO, who is a heavily macro-oriented team, will see through this and exploit it easily. Case in point: BLCK v ECHO Grand Finals Game 1 is the hardest stomp of the series.

Its just an excuse trying to decode echo at the verge of defeat even tho that is the main objective of the game, as a pro caliber that buffs to all teamates is op, that gives a huge advantage giving extra damge and shield lol and as if echo plays 5 man in turtle they have map awareness too and probably second to none compared to any teams lol they only move if the enemy goes 5 around the turtle and if not you will see karl alone while being assisted by sanford if nided.. If they go segway jungle or push at thr opposite lane echo have the map awareness to counter them after all echo wants to fight everywhere not just in the turtle.. This is just a lame excuse. If they wanted to win they should have copied rsg, they were able to win because of comebacks from a good set from light in turtle or lord takes especially the retri battle, they were able to turn the game. echo playes dominant early game and ultimately to snowball if black gives all this objectives of echo the result would still be the same.

The importance of turtle depends on the game's draft. If the Opponent sports a mid-game power spike and you are banking on late game not contesting the turtles can turn out horrible for your team. Just see the recent BLCK vs ECHO grand finals game 1. BLCK didn't contest the turtles against a super mid-game power spike composition of ECHO, look what happened after wards.

My opinion is if your team use dmg jungle better gank gold in early 2-3mins instead of turtle fight. But don't give enemies more than 1turtle especially the last turtle First turtle reward are too low but 2nd and3rd are worth to take

So the best option is to let the roamer just check what happens in turtle while taking their gold in their tower. Sometimes It's a fair trade.

I usually do this with immobile mages, I'd rather plate than contest turtle. What I usually do is give vision then see if the team can contest. I'll spam retreat if the situation is unfavorable.

I would agree but at the same time Turtle boost your Teammates morale esp in a pit situation. This is also where we contest our Team strength against your opponent so it's very important to understand their strength so would discover their weakness. The very most important its not about the turtle, its about how you draft. Echo and other teams already knew how you draft and its been consistently been observed and yet you continue to pick that role/hero. It would be better to increase your hero pool, identify each opponents weakness and take the lead. Forget about Ube Strat.

That was exactly the playstyle of tv zane will contest if he xan or else they would just snowball but their lord dance was amazing

You can give 2turtles but not the third one the xp gap on the junglers get too much if one jungler takes all of it for example level11 fredrin vs level 9 lancelot or you can just invade thier buffs while they turtle to balance the xp between junglers and by far your hero level is very important in the current meta for the retri damage to secure lords

No one is saying the turtle is useless but losing to a turtle contest while also having your team wiped or even just one or two picked off. Just clearing the waves/continue jungling safely or even denying some green creeps or crabs on the enemy side jungle is better when a turtle steal is highly unlikely depending on the current lead, matchup, skill cooldowns or matchup.

There's only two consequences if it is you got the turtle and survive then you can take it as advantage for it's shield and additional damage, then if you died while taking it, then it's still an advantage to the early of the game for your team.

OMG got early lead with 3 turtles but they choke because of their skill gap, after they get 3 turtles they try to invade even they are outnumbered. It's always 2v4 when invading idk if it's shotcalling problem unlike echo that their is always an aggressive play to capiltalize turtle buff with 5man tower dive at stealing buffs.

it depends tbh, you can just give the lord to your enemy as long as you can makeup for the gold...for example that bren vs cambodia i guess in iesf if im not mistaken, you can noticed that cambodia got a big kill lead but bren still managed to maintain their gold lead...when you have a big gold lead you can just give that turtle to your enemies, it doesnt matter...

Not at all times, It depends on the composition and capability of the heroes.

The only real benefit of turtle is if ever you can take advatage of the bonus team gold to take a huge snowball early on, otherwise its useless reaching lategame

@@jjs00701 yep that's what moba is. Today's meta needs an exp laner that has good cc and decent lifesteals for that. This allows the Goldlaner to do a freehit from behind during the war. The reason I said it's 'ordinary' is because if the exp laner fails to do so, they might lose the war or the lord/turtle objectives.

The thing is, I agree with the coach’s take IF you’re playing solo. For example, if you were to play 5 man and your team is very coordinated just like the enemy team, then getting the turtle can be game changing. Because with a coordinated team, mistakes will rarely happen and so the benefits of the turtle won’t go to waste. It’s like getting the drake in league. It’s not necessarily needed to win, but if you were to play correctly then it would definitely help.

The potential loss of the turtle is not equal to the potential return in case both teams are going for it. That is why it's not reasonable to go for it. It doesn't matter if it's 5man or solo Q, unless you have good early game compared to the enemy team

having early gold lead is an advantage but not necessarily to win game immediately! either its on pro scene or amateur rank games..

I think player call that time was figgt for turtle because if they just let echo take turtle they can invade the jungle just like they did with rsg but this time yawi with sanford or sanji defend their jungle so wise can't take a buff or a creep

Side quest can make you stronger and that is very important even playing other games specially rpg.

I don't usually contest turtle in non 5 man games because i know for a fact my team will just waste the buffs. If the turtle is free sure but if i have to contest i would just continue jungling.

My teammates used to tease me in regards to participating in turtle fights. the turtle value is too low. However, if both teams battle it out, only then it's worth a lot for one main reason. both economies stopped - Once both teams reach the turtle location, no one gets any gold until the team fight and the elimination of the turtle is over. The first turtle only gives within 40 to 60 gold each hero. This means that the total gold earned by the team after eliminating a turtle is 200, but the maximum gold for the first turtle is 300 gold. Do you still prefer getting turtle that has 40 - 60 than one minion waves that has more than 180 gold? to counter a huge gap in terms of economic resources, there are plenty of opportunities in order to shorten the gap such as clearing the minions and the enemy jungle camp. it gives more gold and avoiding lethal punish from the opposing team. this concludes that if the team doesn't have an advantage to win a teamfight, then get over with it and use the opportunity to clear the minion waves and the enemy jungle camp. Turtle gives gold, exp and shield buff and dmg. Early to mid game team composition will exploit that and will end the game at mins 9-10. By taking the 2 turtles and min 8 lord. Min 10 lord might be needed if the opposing team have wave clearing abilities. That's why we have the word META. I usually trade the turtle to kill enemy goldlaner and take down his turret. It's like investing in your own goldlaner alone or the overall team advantage. This choice will boil down to our respective experiences and playstyle of each other's region.

Nice research, but you see, the minions are available for both teams. Getting the turtle doesn't mean you will lose your lane minion wave, Thats why its the jungler who handles the turtle. And proper wave management is required. ML is a battle of resources. Turtle is a bonus. Any bonus is an advantage. Turtles are easy to take down, if no turtle will happen, its just bonus gold for the opposing team.

You're overlooking the fact that if you don't contest turtle, enemy will blitz it in 15 seconds and still make it to clear minion waves (and worse, tower dive gank with those turtle buff)

For me if you think you are lost in picking you need to take time and this is what Coach bon coming but the turtle is really really important plus gold and shield if you want clash and clash you need to take turtle

I mean if your team has upper hand hero, turtle is good to assert dominant but if enemy team has gold lead and they gang for turtle just give it to them, it's pretty much useless for risky your life for 200 gold plus shield. I saw the match in game 4 between Echo and RSG, RSG knew the turtle fight they would lose so roamer not and jungler not bother echo to take it but instead help gold lane to gang and have upper hand in mid and late game.

Tama. If your opponent is malakas sa turtle fights, kapag nag-converge sila dun, kuha nalang kayo ng other objectives sa ibang part ng map. Example: Tower Push, Kuha buff or jungle creeps ng kalaban, or kahit clear all lanes lang.

This is so true. I always play core and most of the time i dont go for turtle. Bec if lanes are busy going turtle there is opportunity to kill marksman who is seldom solo in the gold lane or even destroy 1 or 2 turrets. Turtle may give benefit but doesnt leave u in a gap. the true objective is pushing the lanes. If they are busy fighting turtle, ive already pushed a tower or even killed a solo

Kung behind kayo lalo na sa lvl at position, oo pwede mo ibigay turtle sa kalaban pero kung lamang kayo bakit hindi mo kunin sayang din kasi yung buff.

I've been thinking about this too since the jungler role released in MLBB, i mean why do we have risk our team to get killed just for the turtle? ofc turtle gives some buffs like exp and shields to the team but i personally think it's still unworthy to risking ourselves to get killed by opponents just to contest turtle.. except contesting for Lord, it makes sense to fight for it because getting a Lord means we get 1 more additional players to the field, so it will be easier for us to outnumbered the opponent to get more objectives

@@cerulean25_ it's unlikely coz by the time you reach the tower, the turtle might already be done or close to done. Then you just find yourself in a situation where you are overextended and prone to 2-4 man gank. The only reason you should ever give turtle in early game is when 1. it's hopeless to try; 2. there's too many enemy and only one of you or 3. your hero doesn't have the ability to contest turtle/your retri is cd. That's why everyone is needed in contesting turtle coz it increases the odds of you winning the turtle as well as winning the clash and getting a few kills in the process which widens the gap more. I do see your point that contesting turtle can be risky and you could be doing other stuff in that time but it's only risky if everyone's not cooperating. Example, your laners not going to turtle and is preoccupied in doing other things. Well, all things said. I think what rank we are talking about here matters a lot as well. If it's just low elo like mythic and below then if you think contesting turtle is risky then don't. If high elo then you play with your team.

Onetime shield sa members at sa mismong nakapatay shield tapos P.A/M.P kaya pinag aagawan malaking advantage din kasi yun sa early game . Lalo sa core/jungler. Hehe

While watching live I really noticed this because of the same thing Blck did since M4 and as an agent I was really confused on why they are so desperate in getting the turtle even though its obvious that it's a way for Echo to start this snowball. Blck can't fight back against Echo's early to mid game chaos so why bother getting turtle instead of stealing enemy camps, gank or steal turrets and play passively til they get their power spike since Vee's support aside from Estes shines on mid near to late game. It reminded me of what Mobazane commented on this topic

@@spartafxrs5 he changed perspective after they got repeatedly destroyed by echo in every turtle fight. Also those free turtle really help boost echo's mid game power spike that eventually led to blacklist demise.

@@spartafxrs5 Turtle doesn't really have that much value, getting snowballed is. Getting a crucial lord or wipe out is better than risking a turtle then getting snowballed. Hopefully Blck will finally learn this mistake

Also they are actually not contesting the turtle most of the time in the grand finals and actually wise stealing buffs but echo is prepared and punish them. Echo is just a natural counter to blacklist, not contesting for turtle really hurt them by not slowing down the mid game power spike of echo.

Blacklist purposely give the turtle to ECHO and traded it to the buffs and still look at what happened? ECHO snowballed hard because of all those turtles. Turtles is still important to be honest.

If you're 5 man yeah it is.. but for always solo player like me, turtle is important cuz i always play as "don't expect anything on team".. but i make sure to kill 1 enemy first before turtle spawn, tho if i feel my team isnt gonna help me in turtle fight then ill just steal buff/farms..

Every gold and exp in early stage counts for snowball potential tho.ಠ⁠_⁠ಠ

yeah, but in pro scene it doesn't matter that much, you can farm and catch up, 60 gold and a miniscule amount of exp is not worth it for a turtle fight that will cause you 1 or 2 deaths, blcklist fought and fought for the turtle een though that's not what their comp is all about, and look what happened. they got swept lol

The real problem is your hero pool, of course you need to contest the objectives

Turtle buffs contains extra exp, gold and extra amount of true damage. So to maximize these buffs, after obtaining the thesw turtle buffs, initiate a clash, cause its the most beneficial situation to enjoy these turtle buffs. Thats why, in my opinion, the turtle is worth to fight with. The one wholl get, regarless what level of turtle, even just the level one, if systematically used, can give you a high chance to snowball.

Who controls the gold controls the game especially early to mid part of the game. Ang turtle objective lang yan para maka gain early to mid advantage ang lord ay para sa late game at map control may empowered minions na bigay ito kaya mas importante talaga ang lord.

It's true, but...if the enemy team has more early to mid power spiking heroes then those turtles and litho, it makes a ton of difference. But yes, again, i have never played in the Pro scene, so i can't debate with his claim.

True. Solo queue when ur team us not good. Better go for other objectives like kill enemy laner or steal enemy buffs.

I remember s8 and m3 blck, where they tend to give up most of turtles and focus on either gold plating on gold lane or exp lane, stealing enemy buff/creeps, gank enemy after turtle take. Try to rewatch their previous games before s9, s10/s11. Ang tanda ko ginawa nila to mostly nung m3 world champion ship.

Weird. I remember that was when UBE was at its peak and virtually no opponent could match BLCK's rotation to be able contest anything at all.

I 100% agreed on Mobazane's hot take on turtle, so many fights on MPL that the team wins the match even though they giving away all the turtle.

You can get a lot of benefits if you get the turtle, But if you need to sacrifice a lot of things to have it then its not worth it.

Naalala ko yung sa MSC Exe vs BList, na kung saan hinahayaan lng nang exe makuha yung turtle at di sila nag co contest sa turtle. Focus nila is yung farm ni keil at ni kelra pero pag start na ng pag spawn ng lord dun pa sila naga contest, kase lamang na yung gold laner nila kaya nakaka come back yung exe

In priority list , you should always try to gank gold land and give advantage to your own adc, the gold plating is way more valuable than turtle. And dying while competing for turtle is the worst you can do.

Kaso yung ECHO need nila yung kakarampot na shield para sa pick-off playstyle nila. At the same time mas malakas loob nilang mag invade dahil sa shield lalo na yung nakapatay sa turtle na nagreregen yung shield na galing sa turtle.

That is verry wrong. Its true, that turtle isn't worth the risk of being killed. But the controbution of turtle buffs and gold will help your team to get the lead and win small scrimish. Example: 2 the same hero with the same emblem build up and the same itemization will be having normal attack fight but the other one has the turtle buff Who will win?? Of course the one with the turt buff

I'm pretty sure this whole "secure turtle mentality" came from M2 Bren, back when all Karltzy needed to start snowballing was a turtle secure

Winning the turtle will not always result in a win. But the advantage you will get on winning a turtle is very helpful. Gold and buffs. But do not contest hard on turtle if you are behind. Like what happened to Blacklist, the turtle is always the turning point. So the point is its still IMPORTANT. Give up the turtle if they know they can't win and focused on gaining advantage without turtle. Goodluck with that BTW.

for me this kind of advice will only work if your oponent doesnt capitalize every objective😂but to echo?or bren?nope it wont work.theres a reason why echo 4-0 blacklist😂echo got all the turtle and stomped them.thats it.

Blacklist relies on 5v5 teamfights(mostly counter engage) to win fights and take down lord. Echo relies on snowballing out of controls, pick offs and contest any objective. Echo has a great teamwork. Uncoordinated teams will fall easily on the Blacklist strat.

Have you ever wondered why only ECHO can punish BLK like this? It’s because even they are all over the map they move as one. Unlike RSG where BLK can easily punish Irrad and Nathz for over extending, in ECHO the mistakes are very few. R7 said in an interview that they don’t know how they are losing all over the map. It’s because echo is very very good with causing chaos and disrupting the opponents tempo.

Pag weak ka obviously not worth it makipag contest sa turtle. Pero pag echo ka especially Karltzy ka sisiw lang eh kaya wort it. Kaya may turtle para makita kung sinong player malakas sa bardagulan. Yung confident player lang nakakakuha ng turtle.

But now turtle is a big thing with experience increase from slaying turtle.

For me pag hindi kaya wag na ipilit sa turtle. Pero yung term na makikipagpatayan sa turtle eh mali yon. Madami naman objectives para manalo sa game. Yung turtle kasi may additional gold at shield ao malaking bagay pa din yon lalo na sa mga late gamer heroes like marksman so tama lang na sa early isa sa prio is turtle pero that doesn't mean makikipagpatayan ka don. Kung di kaya sa turtle mag trade objectives na lang

. Parang may sinabi si coach bon dati . Na kung sino unang nakakuha ng 1st turtle sya yung mag didikta ng laban . So importante talaga ang turtle .
