There's so much stigma and hate around polygny. Even though it's so beneficial sometimes and is following the sunnah. Not all men can do it and that's because men aren't being told how to do it.

Sadly we figured you'd refuse to consult someone of knowledge and choose to respond anyway, may Allah protect us from our own egos, آمين. We know the rules and have put a clause in 2 of our daughter's contracts but we know that if a clause is broken, it allows for the annulment or divorce, not a sin like you puport. However since you fail to respect Islamic fiqh and go off of your own desires, there is no need to respond anymore. We've already addreseed this issue in videos and other comments but one thing we can never overcome is someone insistence on being right without knowledge. So again, peace.

You are really great women am newly married as a second wife but am really stressed about it but am asking Allah to make me patient my husband talks so much of his wife all the time and worse he does not allow me call him when he is there but they talk to each other any time when he is here. I am an Israelite and want a second wife for my husband. I wish we had done this sooner, as I’m older now and more wiser and see the benefits of it. Israelite men have always had multiple women. So, I’m here to learn a few things from you two beauty queens before seeking a co-wife. I love what you guys are doing for your community it’s so inspirational. The only thing is for me personally is: I would rather us all live under one roof and operate as one family unit. @@Dr.JudeAEMasonMD the family will be able to have more children bringing more liveliness and also the husband will get some new excitement in life which will make him happier and as a result probably better. There’s probably other reasons as-well. As this woman is older she probably has gained maturity and as a result she is less affected by jealousy or ego and less concerned about things like monogamy/exclusive relationships etc. Relationships are not just one type of way and there are different styles and approaches that work for different people.

@jane Ibrahim well, if the man is interested in polygamy, he is obviously excited and ready for any of its consequences (i.e. expenses, headache). By your logic any relationship is a headache/nagging that’s not worth pursuing.

I can attest to the fact that the over seas thing is painful and bittersweet. Third wife out of the 4 and ive experienced emotions of and felt like the first wife and additonal wife, i respect and and ive come to appreciate the co wives before me and i really do hope the 4th co wife will appreciate us too whilst i find that difficult to believe seeing as she may feel shes favoured being the fourth. I've been married a year a 3 months and my husband want to take on a second wife. She is much younger 18 years old. One reason is because im having difficulty with pregnancy. I grew up in a muslim House hold. My father who is muslim had only one wife so all this is new to me and scary. I feel insecure intimidated and less than a woman and a failed wife And it hurts knowing I cant give my husband a baby. Im trying so hard to get past my fear because it's going to happen whether I want to or not. I recently emailed the sister to give salaams just because im trying to accept this . I don't know if im ready for this or how i will feel once she have his first childand I could not do it . Polygyny is the only form of poly that is family oriented. Forget what society says and choose what's morally best. Western society is staring to push that there are over 30 genders... Time will tell and prayerfully you'll find what you are looking for. There are many conscious women who prefer honesty and understand man's nature, but they must step up and be seen.

Yours is another testimony on my comment just made on another video which by the way led me to this one. While in the other 2 videos, all they talked about was bad bad bad!!! My comment was that from my experience with those polygamy that have thrived and those that have failed, a lot of it rest on the first wife actions or inaction. If only women can just accept the other wife as a sister at least (not saying it'll be easy cos I'm a man), there will be no limit to their success. I am in my early 50s and still cannot make friend outside of my family cos Allah already gave me a friend from my second mom. We grew up together and people always get confused weather we were twins back then. Alhamdulillah

I think it’s important for a man that is planning to have multiple wives to be clear from the start and to also choose women who will not be violently against the idea, preferably those who are very accepting of the idea. If you want a peaceful life for you and your children it’s important to choose a woman (women) who are on the same page as you. It’s one thing a woman being “I can’t share my man” but another when a women tells you directly and adamantly that she will not be accepting it… yes you as a man have the right to go get a second wife, but just know that it could come with a whole lot of stress and ultimately causes issues for not just you but your whole family. If you want multiple wives choose the right women for it otherwise don’t complain when they behave exactly how they told you they would 🤷🏻‍♀️

We agree. However we also know that when a man is single, never married, that he has little idea about what it takes in a marriage or how he may feel as time goes on. He may be genuinely all in on one wife to start but changes his mind down the line. In those cases, which are quite common, it isn't simply a matter of self-awareness at the beginning, but being open to difficult and honest communication. In healthy marriages this should be able to be had at anytime. Thank you for your input.

No, polygyny pre-dates Islam and is found in every scripture. We speak on it in a universal fashion because it can positively impact those involved whether Muslim or not when people have the right tools.

In Islam, it is prohibited for a Muslim woman to marry other than a Muslim man. A Muslim man may only marry a Muslim woman or a chaste Jew or Christian woman.

Aslaamulakum sisters I been Muslim for Over25 yrs I'm 42 year old African American male been married to my first wife for 15 years I have no....diesese in kept the same job consistently over 10 years I'm looking To find another wife for deen in companionship not saying I'm not finding it in my first wife but I need a new spark I don't know if I'm expression myself clear but a co wife will help me get stronger in my Deen the issue is my wife not taking this matter seriously

wa alaykum as salaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu, It's not your current wife's job to take things seriously. It's yours as the imam of the family. Marrying for a spark and depending on your (possibly new) wife to help you get stronger in deen is backwards. If your deen needs to be strengthened, you should handle that first and other things will fall in line because if your deen is not up to par, your marriage will suffer and likely fail anyway.

Do you think it's a woman's job, specifically an incoming wife's job to educate her husband on deen? Or is it the man's responsibility to educate himself so he can properly lead the family in marriage and other affairs?

He can men are capable of loving multiple. Unlike women who typically are unable to emotionally attached themselves to more than one man. It’s psychological.

Outstanding Personal Relationships I have been married for 10 years now and my husband took a second wife last it was all Gud between the two of us, then I got pregnant last year and she suddenly became distant and cold. Now this year she is the one who is pregnant am trying to reach out to her but she has too much pride, she should be the one trying to reach out cause she recently entered my marriage. I just feel sad for myself and my hubby. Really any advice would be helpful right now 😩

No and yes. As Muslims we have our own culture which is the groom gives his bride a mahr, some call it a dowry, or gift. It can be a ring or whatever you agree to. Wedding rings in general are a Western idea, especially wearing on the left hand 'ring finger' which is a Christian idea. So we wear jewelry including diamond rings but don't we consider them wedding rings.

I just feel that when the groom/King love both wives equally then both should experience wearing a symbol of love from the King he loves. I don't know, I think me personally both wives or how many wives a King decide to marry should feel free to receive that same symbolic jewel on her finger too. I just feel its in most sister wives hearts to cherish that special moment as the other wife experienced. Beautiful diamonds and jewelry is nice to wear, however, it's just something about when a King propose to a wife with a ring put on her finger is something special to always remember in the heart.

@@blackqueen6331 In Islam, a man is not expected to love his wives equally. No one is capable of loving 2 people equally, we don't even love our children equally. What is required is to treat them equally, to the best of one's ability, in terms of feeding, clothing, general provisions, as well as intimacy. A man cannot be perfect in this but should strive to be. But even couples in monogamous marriage are not perfect. It is all about striving to be the best you could be.

Why? Do you want to cook for two households? Or not know who the father of your children are? Clean and cater to two men? Deal with aggressiveness of two testosterone fueled men? (Unless they're feminine of course) Take care of two households and go back and forth with your children? Or are you simply thinking about sex? 🤔
