This is going to be like the Mercedes S of the new century, it's going to get upgrades and sold for decades!

Love these cars. Just goes to show what you can do with a little ingenuity. My employer provides fasteners for them though, so of course I have some bias.

It's cool because they did it. They saw that this was a better way to do things and they did it. Anyone CAN do it but they haven't, Tesla has. The amount of features they can theoretically add after purchase is insane! (Granted they probably should have some of them from the start) And if you consider Cadillac's attempt at a touch screen the latency is horrible. Why? Because they don't want to make a full investment in it. I think most major auto makers are taking the wait and see approach.

I would of loved to work on the UI for that car..

Good Review Cooley as usual - Pretty sure it is a tax REBATE not CREDIT and yes there is a difference.

It's basically perfect except for that there are not many stations on long distance travel to recharge the car.

I love this car, if only it wasn't so expensive. It's well worth the money, but it's a little too high priced for most people right now.

I'd rather have inductive charging roads. That would be the perfection of this technology I think. No need to ever actively charge the car ever. It would also mean you could get away with absolutely miniscule batteries if fully implemented, meaning that costs would go through the floor for EVs.

This is an almost perfect car.

They have started the fire. The Fire Rises.

Now they just need a faster charging technology. That is to me, the only weakness.

One person doesn't like instant torque or free electricity on long journeys.

Nothing, they're not stupid, of course the damn thing is waterproof

The failure rate for electric cars are lower(gas is more dangerous than batteries when in accidents) and electric cars have higher torque, the tesla roadster goes 0-60 in 3.7 seconds which beats many many other sports cars, i dont know what you are talking about when you say "electric cars are not reliable since they are slow" and on top of that 300 miles is a pretty good distance and 30 minutes to recharge, thats the average break people take in long distance travel to eat/restroom

Either way, if I had money for a Mercedes, then I would buy a Mercedes, not a model from a car company that no one has even heard about.

Electric cars are not very reliable since they are slow and run out of power before you get to your destination. I prefer power and performance from reliable gasoline cars that will always get me where I want no matter how far away.
