cool stuff. I see you have really moved along with the carbon fiber parts business. congrats on that. keep those m2's busy!

Ha, yeah this one project has resulted in the purchase of about 30 M2s so far. Only 9 of them are in my own possession, the others are in different locations but all doing the same thing for the same company using the process I developed I actually don't run a parts production business, I just develop the machines and processes for doing it and then transfer it to other companies that do the monotonous production work. I'll do a week of part production once in a while, but would not want to do it day in and day out.

What kind of cutting bit do you use on the cnc? Great work!

It's a 2.5mm end mill, the kind with a short flute for trimming printed circuit boards. Even with the water I can only cut about 12 of these plates before it has to be replaced. As it dulls, the hole diameters get smaller and eventually it reaches a point where the bolts won't go through the holes. Same thing happens to drill bits, carbon fiber is just brutal on tooling.

Did you scrap your fabric table? It was of great inspiration in building mine. Who am I kidding I basically copied almost every element of your table :) Thanks

I had to move across country so currently the mechanics of the fabric cutter are packed away in boxes. I'm doing a total redesign though and the new one won't look much like the old one. Even the table will be made from welded angle iron instead of wood. I built a CNC mill recently so now I have the ability to make more precisely machined parts, which allows design improvements.
