How is the core held on fixture.? Can you share the details of adhesives or the way it is set up ?

The core was already bonded to the outer face sheet of the sandwich in the above video (with Scotch Weld 9323). When the honeycomb is machined without being bonded to a face sheet, double sided adhesive tape can be used for fixation. I suggest to use diamond shaped tools, which grasp much better the thin aramid paper. We moved on from honeycomb to structural foams (PVC and PMI), because honeycomb is very work intensive: Handling of geled layups is not easy for large pieces, and honeycomb sandwiches tend to have telegraphing and print through …
