Waste of time. Cutting off in 7 steps ? there should be 2, max 3 cuts. If its only 10 parts its doesn`t matter, but if you must make 1000 parts you just losing lot of money.

What i see is not cutting of in 7 steps. the cutting steal is doing a profile on the back with roughin and finishing the ball and after that the cutting off comes. Tell me when i am wrong.

@@djangounchained7841 yeah, you just named this two processes like in book, but for me its two cuts and i can do this in 10 seconds, not like on this video in 45. I can easily do this part in 60-70 sec and double efficiency of machine (and earn double money).

@@rafaz705 Hi guys, the last part is indeed not the fastest solution. There are some different reasons for this. First of all, this is the first part our new cnc pupils do after they learned din iso programming on pcs. Because of this cutting speed and feed are not like in production environment. Second reason. The cycle. If you are programming a cutting contour in Heidenhain CNC Pilot 640 the cycle will rough and finish the flat surface (left). This is not necessary and costs time. Look at the image ibb.co/20zTmwL . The red line will also get a finish. To avoid this you can do different things. You can limit the cycle in Z for example. This didn't happen in the video. But guys please don't forget, that many programms are written by our pupil in our school who are doing their first steps in cnc. We all know that there is more possible.

This Machine is no Machine for producing lots of parts. Did you see how long this turret takes tó change tools or the spindle reaches the RPM? Sure you can make this part a lot faster but why should i dot this on a machine like this. When you want to print money then buy a CTX variant.
