@@doloresreynolds8145 doesn't look like it. A simple titel and people are already screaming. Like : Trump called dead veterans "losers". Or a titel like: McConnell believes impeachment push will help rid GOP of Trump. Then then talk about a "source" claiming that they all said these things. But a little research shows you that it's just an article from a other place, both these cases the NYT. Just switching some words so that it sounds like they said it. Even when the source is someone that know how they think.. See thats not news, thats PROPAGANDA. What more, it brings all the hate. Republicans hate it cause they know or atleast believe it's "fake news". And cause it is wrong as we could all see in the end, bring hate from democrats, cause some of them think these people lie again. It makes it all allot easier when they dont show these people speak and we just have to take it a face value. Sometimes they will show small clips or put a diffrend answer to a diffrend question. Now these some examples of CNN, but you get them on FOX NEWS and MSNBC and ABC and all the other MSM. In America the main news cahnnels have long since lost their trustability. If you really want news just read up a few local news stations/papers. Not 1 but multiple, cause a story always has sides.

"The ultimate success or failure of his presidency may hinge simply on that one promise," the MSNBC host continued. "And it might be his only way to immediately begin cauterizing American's social, economic and political wounds." "Let's put it this way. If Biden wants to succeed, he has to fulfill that first vaccination promise," Todd added. "If Biden doesn't get it right, he will have failed on the job he was elected to do." I bet incompetent Joe Biden won’t even come close; besides he’s going to be a one term president if he isn’t replaced because of the senility before 4- years are up.

@@davidmarjason4222 Hmm. A Republican talking point, and yet you're not American? Where are you from exactly, then? To equate any misreporting from an actual news network such as CNN, which when it happens is corrected publicly, to the steady stream of purposeful lies from outfits like Fox, whose only goal is profit is at all costs, is to genuinely misunderstand the concept of news. No reporting is going to be free from error, but entertainment and propaganda presented as news are lies, pure and simple. Hate Republicans? No, pity them...at least the ones who are being led down the primrose path to authoritarianism. Those doing the leading? Hate is an impotent word...it is a mask for fear. So yes, the world should fear those Republicans who have tried, and who will continue to try, to subvert the democratic system and ideals to further their own fever dreams of hegemony, all while impotently blaming Democrats of that which they themselves are patently guilty. Of course, that is play number one in tRump's playbook: blame your enemies first for what you yourself are doing. Roy Cohn taught him that. Probably one of the only things anyone's been able to teach him over the years. Learn from the Republicans? Hopefully, we will learn to strengthen our democracy against their treasonous acts that have dominated the news in the last 4 years, and for many during Bush junior's reign. Data shows that the Republican party is dying. They are losing members and elections. But they are not learning from their losses. Instead, I anticipate that the dying gasps of the Republican party have yet more pestilence to spread, both figuratively, and literally with COVID. I truly hope that we all will learn our lessons, at least in what not to do; or what subversion is capable of being perpetrated by a determined president and his cronies, unfettered by conscience or integrity. But I am not hopeful.

"news" stations need to be required to cleary label shows "opinion" just the way news papers had the "editorial" - I think TV news should keep the word "opinion" on the screen for the duration of the piece. Most people don't have Shepard's ability to tell what is fact and what is hype.

The Problem is not the media as much as it is social media. Most kids (25 and under) don't watch mainstream news. You could argue that most others don't either. Twitter, KZread and Facebook is what the new generation turn to to get ''news''. But you are right, new outlets do take liberties with what they call news. Both sides are guilty of it.

"News" networks that are only about propaganda (Fox NEWS network, NEWSmax, One America NEWS Network) and aren't registered as a news network (they're all registered with the FCC as Entertainment Networks) should not be allowed to use the word/term "News" in their channel name. Fox News would have to become "Fox Opinion". One America could just drop "News" and call themselves "One America Network". Newsmax would completely have to change their name. And if they still pose as a news network, running newscasts that spew propaganda, pull their license.
