CMF is a sub-brand of Nothing. 😮

I would have loved a clearer conclusion who is best in terms of sound quality. Also I would have loved a comparison to its predecessor, the CMF Buds Pro. I recently returned the Buds and the Buds Pro have been considered more or less the same in terms of sound quality.

Just got the Pro 2 in and they sound nothing like the Buds Pro....massive bass and bass bloat compared to the older Pro. It is better if you turn off the default Ultra Bass boost, but the overall sound is still shouty and lacks clarity. The simplified EQ makes it hard to adjust compared to a 10 band EQ. Aaron mentions the bass, but I was not prepared for how overpowering it was. It does not really compare to any of the previous CMF/Nothing buds I have used.

@@ggroch I was referring to the previous pro, the update improved some details... I use it balanced and the noise cancellation level on medium... I like the sound

Hey Aaron you are my favorite headphones reviewer. What phone are you using to test the microphone quality on? I have an iPhone so I was wondering what it sounds like on an iPhone. Just don’t want to buy this if it doesn’t sound like this with an iPhone. I’m thinking of grabbing a nothing ear as a back up & because it’s budget friendly. Need clear calls because it’s really noisy during my dialysis treatments

Wow finally a new invention that make a concern for the charging case. Normally after buds had been take out, we put aside the case. Now it funtional for portable option device is quite impressive. Nicely done invention, congratz.

Transparency of ear a has gotten much better now. dont take much stock in db claims. Companies have been doing it for years and it only tells part of the story.

after I watched this video, it does look like that the CMF Buds Pro 2 are even better than the Nothing Ear (lol) which sounds a bit confusing bc the Ears are about 80$ more expensive. Does someone think the same as me or is it just me haha😂. Is there a chance that these features are coming to the Ears as well or is this not needed?

How is the gaming mode for gaming on the pc?

Doe the bass can be remove from it fully to give ear 2024 like tuning? I don't like bass but is in budget so can't get the expensive models

Bass is not always bad. Only if it's boosted in the 100-200hz region, which then makes the lower mids muddy and nasal sounding. Any boost at 90hz or lower is a tame bass boost without losing anything else. I believe you can use third party EQ apps to lower the sub region

@@1FontaineCreaturae yes but the default tuning plays a large part on how much EQing will work. Also cmf buds seem to be muddy bass unlike nothing ear tuning. They don't even provide 10 bands EQ in the official app

From your sound samples...these cmf pro 2s might be the buds ive been looking for. My liberty 3 pros lack rumbling bass and volume. And my buds fe lack crisp highs and need alittle more volume. Hope the cfms get loud.

​@@petermurage8685 i wish that was the case. Use the lp3s on both my s23 ultra and note 20 ultra using poweramp. Also tried other music players to see if it was the mp3 player. My samsung buds fe have a deeper sub rumbling bass than the lp3s. The lp3s have bass, but its not the sub low rumbling type. Lp3s bass is good for electronic music, but not so much for rap or hip hop. Tried different eartip and wing sizes...same result. Yea..i know rumbling bass isnt considered audiophile quality...but i like it. Wish flagship phones still had headphone jacks...tws just dont compare with wired, especially if u use a headphone amp with them.

@@MikeJones-dh1jo ooh. I get you. I know the bass you are looking for. Have you tried Soundcore Sport X10 or x20? Or grab the Skullcandy crusher evo with a Sony phone. Tried the Evo with Sony xperia 10V and the bass almost made me implode

Tough choice. I like both. If i had more money to spend, definitely the Nothing cause of advanced eq. Might do a latency test when workload eases.

Nearly an instant-buy for me. But they say the battery life is 4.5h with ANC on. If that were true it would be just ok for a budget pair. However the Ear (2) I believe had similar time estimate, and I can’t even get 2 hours from it. It’s usually dead before I leave the gym and start work😮 a complete deal breaker on an otherwise amazing pair.

I remember Dirac on the 1+, but I replace it with viperVX but play with the nob in your pocket......

No one is talking about the connectivity with windows, how the noise cancellation works in that, MS teams, GMeets. Looking forward like these type of reviews

To my experience you could refer to Aaron's sound quality for MS Team meeting on Windows/Mac device with default suppresion on, I find it very similar. But if you put suppression on heavy, it's another story.

Without lying, I don't like Nothing and its derivatives, but, I have to admit that the Nothing Earbuds have quite good microphone in phone calls in noisy environments, in any case much better than the Airpods Pro, and this case is really functional, even if, it would have been easier to have the same gestures as the Huawei Freebuds Pro 3, Pixel Buds Pro or OnePlus Buds 3 directly on the earbuds 🤷🏽‍♂️

@@aaronloudnwireless Absolutely, for me, Pixel Buds Pro, OnePlus Buds 3, and Bose QC Earbuds have the best combination of control, touch and swipe.

The best budget for pure sound is the Soundcore P20i. Nothing even comes close.

DUDE !! i have used them all and clearly cmf buds 1 and 2 both sound soo bloated and dark . Instead of cmf you could have compared it with realme air 6 pro or oppo enco air . btw apart from cmf the nothing ear buds are way more better.

They kill nothing. Microphone quality is bad and the sound test also showed that they were easily the weakest. Not to mention, they look horrible
