    Hi! First of all, great video. I've got only one question about bleeding the entire system. I've had my clutch and DMF changed, but the mechanic didn't change the brake fluid and, i would like to change it. Besides the little hose on the end of the thrust bearing, how is the procedure done (someone inside the car pressing the clutch, or pressurize the system with the respective tool)?

    Hi. We have changed the bimasa, clutch disc and Sachs pressure plate on a van. It turns out that it slips in 6 speed, in the others not, or we have not appreciated it. The pressure plate has a metal tab that I imagine when pressed against the disc is released and produce a self-adjustment depending on the wear of the disc. As we could not center the clutch disc well we tightened it, it sounded a metallic noise that I imagine would be of this tab when tightening it. We loosened it again and tightened it but without taking into account this tab. Could this be the cause of the slipping? Perhaps we should have retracted this metal tab with a tool as in a self-adjusting clutch? Or maybe the thrust bearing is not well purged?.

    I have a -08 W211 200CDI (originally 136hp and 340nm). After engine optimization it now has about 200hp and 500nm of torque. Since 200CDI has weaker clutch and DMF compared to for example 220CDI that has originally 170hp and 400nm, I am planning to replace both the clutch and DMF with stronger Luk or Sachs parts made for 220CDI to cope with the increased torque. After seeing your video, I began wondering if these 270CDI parts would also fit in my E-series w211 200cdi? You said that this is an upgrade, so is this clutch and DMF combination stronger/capable of handling more torque than the 220CDI clutch parts? How did you end up selecting these parts for your car? Have you had your engine tuned for extra power and how does the new clutch setup work? Thank You for a great video!

    Hi @Petteri Metelinen, thank you for your comment! This C220CDI is tuned to about the same hp as you have. So I had some issues with transferring the power to the original clutch/DMF combination. The 'upgraded' DMF is actually the same as the C220CDI (170hp) but the clutch kit is only used for the ML270CDI. So this was a bit of guess and fingers crossed situation that everything would fit. If I'm not mistaken you have quite the same as I have (OM646) so I think this setup should work for you also. But I'm not 100% sure.

    Frankly, the cost of the clutch, bearing and DMF is enough to dissuade me from buying a W203 CDI. Especially when I compare it to the cost for other brands.

    Hi @ VeryConfusedPerson, well it's not very cheap indeed. But I have done a lot of km's and this was actually the only 'cost' I had. And the W203 has never let me down. So for me it has been a very cheap car when you compare it to the km's I did.

  • @angelkovskiigor

    @angelkovskiigor

    Жыл бұрын

    it is mandatory for SAC (self adjusting clutches), if you don't use it, internat wear of the clutch plate, clutch pressure plate and flywheel may occur and the SAC mechanical system won't work correctly, there are videos on youtube on how to install a SAC pressure plates without the special tool where they basically tighten the nuts "slowly" (1/4 of a turn each screw in a diagonal order) like in this video kzread.info/dash/bejne/gZiKw8mqpdDWktY.html maybe it works but it definetely becomes a very long job

    Hello! If you don't use this tool, your clutch could be not 100% straight up to your flywheel. Which will make it wear uneven and also wear faster.

À votre avis c'est quoi les raisons qui font que le mécanisme ne revient pas, est ce qu'il a déformé le diaphragme et le kit et hors service, ou bien on peut le réparer, je suis dégoûté c'est un kit luk qui coûte cher!

    Hi @Its ur girl melanie, did they change the flywheel as well? Because the teeth you see on the flywheel are used as a signal to your crankshaftsensor. If they mounted it roughly they could have hit this sensor. And if so, your car will not start. Not even with a fault code. I guess you could have looked this up first. Hope this helps you out. @@anthonyvds hi thanks again for replying , i did check the crankshaft sensor and took it off and checked the resistance on it and it works perfect, i also took a coil with the spark plug in it against the engine block to see if i get spark with the crank sensor unplugged and i did not get any spark while it was unplugged, forgot to mention that the car was sitting for almost a year till i decided to replace the clutch couple weeks ago , is it normal for these cars for the fuel pump to run only when you are starting the car , my other cars as soon as you turn the key to ignition with the car not running i can hear the pump run for a little, but on this car i can only hear it when im trying to start the engine , what im trying to say is that it’s weird how the fuel pump runs only when you start to crank the engine, i also sprayed alot of starting fluid a d still the car wouldn’t start a bit , oh and i also checked the oil level today and its below the min mark , would i loose compression with low oil
