Clutch - Cactus Mountain Blues
Музыка
Here's an ultra rare one that I only got recently thanks to Diablo_Clutch on the Pro-Rock.com forums. There is an early demo of I Have the Body of John Wilkes Booth in the Ben Carlson files called Cactus Mountain Blues but that's just a mistake, this is the real deal! Since I have only gotten a hold of this track recently, I have no idea when this was recorded.

I'm only sorry that you just found them now. I first heard them at 16. I grew up outside of Memphis. They play there regular. They are so damn underrated. Everyone in the band is a stand out and phenomenal. Congrats my friend. I love hearing actual musicians finding them. They put stank on it for sure

This sounds like an outtake from their Barkerton Group material!!! Killer sound as always 😎🤘🇺🇸
Tim is fantastic here. Really gets to showcase his blues chops on this one.

No worries! I hope you're keeping well. I miss the old Pro-Rock forum sometimes!
Amazing. The amount of talent in this band in astonishing. I hate the term super group, but that would be an understatement for this outfit. They make 92.6% of all other musicians look like rookies. I did the math...

No disrespect meant here. The only true way to resolve the best drummers in the world would have been to have a drumming competition unbiased In anyway. My top three drummers are 1.John Henry Bonham 2. Neil Peart 3. Keith moon Depending on who you ask this list will wind up with the order changed to that person's taste! Some will be Bonham #1 another Neil Peart and another Keith Moon! All three will go down in history as the cream of the crop in their professional drumming record! It would be actually interesting for someone to do an algorithm of the drummers, like they have done with Rocky Marciano " the Brockton brawler" and Muhammad Ali. They have simulated this fight many times and comes out 50/50 for who wins the fight! I am not sure how many times it was run. So why not do the same for a drum off? The only way to do this is to have someone set it up so no personal preferences are set for a particular drummer. Instead have certain criteria set instead. Hardest hitting, most complicated, etc.

The most solid band, hands down.
I witnessed this band open for primus at McGrath amphitheater in cedar rapids, Iowa. i booed when they left the stage because I wasn't done listening to them play
i cant stop with the clutch. i cant , i wont :)
Sounds much like Hale Bopp Blues...definately an early track, diggin' it!
Yessir slowhole was one of their best. Im just happy that im privy to this music. Really don't know what id be listenin to if i wasnt. Im thinkin jeff beck and victor wooten. Id lump these guys in with those two any day.

Vodcrack, Gratitude for thissun' man! *jamface
When I first heard the title of the song I have the body of John Wilkes Booth I thought it would sound like some classic blues tune. Turns out I wasn't so wrong after all.
Sounds like an early version of "Swamp Boot Upside Down." Definitely heavily influenced the final product.
THANX for the Upload. Never even heard it before. Reminds me a bit of Hale Bopp Blues which I got offa Limewire back when. This is awesome

Sixty Watt are one of my favourite bands alongside Clutch. Such a shame they went the way they did. I love JPG, and the thing about Clutch for me is the relationship between his grooves and Fallon's lyrical rhythms. An odd but majestic marriage of rhythm and verse.

Sounds like it was recorded between Self-titled and Jam Room. Possibly. There are shades of Hale-Bopp Blues in there.
Does said Ben Carlon live in Washington state, or different guy?
