I appreciate your explanation of this process.. I adjusted the clutch on my 2011 Pete 386/18 speed yesterday and got the clutch brake working well and had just a touch over .5" spacing but yet I had 2.25" of pedal travel. I was a bit worried since "everybody" says "no more than 2" free play".. After considering what it would take to adjust the linkage on my truck, I said screw that and left it alone.. I'm glad I did. Everything is working fine so I'm not worried about another .25" of free play.. Thanks again. Your videos are very helpful!!

Great idea with the custom socket. Definitely the path of least resistance. I'm a driver, not a wrench turner and this made it clear how simple it is to replace these on our old 379s. Man it's irritating to not have a clutch brake!

Nice job. I understood everything you said. The video was fine, it showed what it needed too. You have a way of explaing things that's easy to absorb. The best was your explanation of the 2"-3" of free play not really meaning that much but rather the 1/2" of clearence between throughout bearing and clutch brake means a lot. Thank you!

I'm not much of a mechanic so when our truck mechanic, who works at a different shop than me, told me he was going to send me a clutch brake he has at his shop my palms started to sweat if you know what I mean. But after watching your video I feel that I may be able to replace the brake myself. Thanks again.

Good stuff... my 2015 t680 started to slip just a little when I was taking off in morning, usually merging when I am mashing it... made it 3000 miles home and had clutch replaced. Before pedal was right at top... now I have a good bit of free play... but clutch brake barely works... I watched video so I can check it out. Glad you said 1/2 extension for checking because I didn't know what I was going to use. Thank you for the video
