I remember back in 1992, a band of mine played a show in Baltimore where we opened for Clutch. They were on the cusp of breaking out. Me, with the attention span and hormones of a 21 year old, left the "club" (more like an abandoned row home) immediately after our set so I could look for women and drink beers in Fells Point. I should have stayed and seen them before they went national. Of course, this is a man in his 50s looking back three decades. 😁 Clutch was the soundtrack for many great memories for me and my friends.

Been going to clutch shows for over 25 years! Have an autographed Marcus T-shirt from 2002 signed by the whole band. Some of the best shows I’ve ever been to
In 1993 I'm 31 my nephew 18, would watch Beavis and Butt-Head then Headbangers Ball had a blast and Clutch we hadn't heard of been a fan every since they are pure rock wizards. Also first time we saw Tool, Sober we were amazed. Seen Clutch at a small venue in Little Rock and another place in L.R. and Tool once in Memphis. Nephew passed away 2 yrs ago he loved good music as much or more than me plus, he and I saw Plant and Page at Pyramid in Memphis in 98 I think. He loved Zeppelin too. Sorry y'all for all the sentiments I miss him

Remember coming in from the pub aged 18, with the troubles still in full swing. And thinking, you know what, these lads are going places. Never been happier to see a band do well for themselves. One of those bands I always come back to because they didn't construct their own rut to get stuck in.
I've seen Clutch twice in OKC and Tulsa. Phenomenal. There is no one like them

Imagine…☝🏾..! If Neil ..kept his style of vocals ..after this record..albeit a fan of heavy vocals..I feel that he made the right choice…because his singing, and vocals are some of the best in the music genre.. but I still love to Jam out to older Clutch ..so Classic 🤘🏽
Still the most kick-ass drum sound I've ever heard come out of that era.
Man, it's been way too long since I listened to TSL. Seeing clean shaven Neil is a trip, too.

The bass, guitar and drum on this track remind me of Big Black. Obviously much different vocally and lyrically and not as industrial but there’s something there…
I still have this on tape when I recorded it off tv when I was a kid. First example of a band who pulled off weaving a sense of humor into their music without it feeling like a gimmick or resorting to middle school locker room levels of crassness (looking at you King Missile doing Detachable Penis).
Saw Clutch open for Marilyn Manson at the long gone "The Edge" in Orlando, Florida back in the min-90's. Would love to see them live again but profound hearing loss and severe tinnitus ended my concert going days.

bummer for the situation, man. They did a lot of live performances in their "doom salloon" studio during lockdowns, check those out if you haven't. Especially their cover of Fortunate Son!! Also no shortage of quality live performances around YT, probably on their page as well. :)

Film clips just aren't what they use to be.. I think this was the second song I ever heard by Clutch, at like 2am on RAGE!... First was Mob Goes Wild, directly before, if I remember right. Needless to say, 15 year old me was already well and truly sold by that point!

We all need to make sure to support quality ROCK bands so we're not all stuck listening to Taylor Swift. Robot God is the first band to hit me like the first time I heard Clutch back in 2000!
