    The girl's reaction is classic! House just lied his ass off for her. She knows it. For one wild moment, she's grateful. And then she realizes that she is going to have to live this lie for the rest of her life. She won't be able to make it stick forever. No way. Someday, she's still going to have to answer for this. All House did was buy her time and wash his hands of the whole thing. Well acted!

    @@meghanstanley1765 I disagree. He's naive enough to believe it now so there's no reason that should change. Moreover if he stays with her and takes over as father to the baby he will be emotionally invested. He will WANT to believe it. Even if a normal man tells him "boy she's obviously lying" he wont want to listen. And if they have a few kids afterwards that are indeed their own the whole thing will be cemented. Deep down he will know. But he wont want that knowledge to surface. Its like a woman who is with a very dominant man who occasionally cheats but loves her and always comes back home. She loves him dearly so she pretends not to notice. So long as she feels he loves her and only her and he doesnt rub his indiscretions to her face he doesnt mind. Deep down she knows but its like: I dont know if he does it but even if he does the others are temporary toys. Im his queen and he loves me. I dont know anything else and I dont wanna know anything else.

    I don't think she knew she was pregnant. Because then, she could just schedule and abortion, and no, the fiance would not be entitled to it because of patient confidentiality. Considering she went to a DOCTOR who said "trimester" and she somehow mistook it for "semester" and THEN asked "can't I get pregnant from a toilet seat" I'mma say she was just stupid. And it's also totally possible she just thought her cycle was late, I mean I've missed mine a few times, never was preggo. It's perfectly normal to not know your pregnant... especially when you aren't very bright.

So getting an abortion is not like changing your hair color, and can result in infertility, premature birth, etc. The risks are quite small, but they are there, and could materialize. And as risk management tells us, even if probability is low, but the associated value is high... It's multiplication.

    House says that she actually cheated on him and didn't want to break the couple or something later on in the episode. At the end of the day, she should of absolutely been held accountable for cheating. It would've saved this poor chap a lot of trouble down the line, especially when he realizes the kid/baby ain't his. And in all likelyhood, once a cheater, always a cheater will apply to this situation, even more so because she never had any punishment for her actions.

The issue is that this man will go on continuing to believe that this baby was born from just his significant other and that she was faithful to him when in fact she wasn't. If the kid is not biologically yours, you should be given the choice AFTER being made aware of the fact if you wish to continue being the father. It's fucking rape in a financial sense for 18 YEARS to the man who can't get out of being cheated because he chose to trust a liar.     @@PrimeSky98 Humans have imprinted genes. The DNA you get in sperm has a different imprint then the one you get from egg. You need both kinds to have all the development genes that result in viable baby. If you have only one then the embryo cannot develop properly. Humans cannot do parthenogenesis.This is also why you cannot combine two eggs or two sperm in vitro to get a baby.

    I'm pretty sure I accidentally broke up an engaged couple when I worked in an ER getting patients registered. Was getting into from a woman and asked her emergency contact, she says Rob, he's my fiance, we're getting married next month! Further into the registration a guy finds her and goes "Oh, there's my baby, oh baby I'm so worried about you, you know nothing in the world is now imprudent than you, you're my everything, etc. etc." So I'm like "Ah this must be Rob!" And he goes "Huh? Who the f*ck is Rob????" She replies "Oh he's no one, just an old contact the hospital had on record."

I don't remember the exact detail, but it either takes much more time to run the test or the machine itself was broken. Either ways, there was no way he could have run the test 5 times and this case only happens with some animals not humans.

Background rate of cheating in a relationship is pretty common from all statistics I've seen, and splash pregnancy is absurdly far fetched. I mean sure your vasectomy could repair itself spontaneously and the break again.. but the odds of that are much less than cheating in a relationship.
