yes! in fact she shows some truly positive traits. most notably, her care and concern for her dad, and how she goes about serving him tea so naturally. it's quite touching. and a stark contrast to how bratty she can be otherwise. she doesn't even get mad at him after he scolds her for the traffic tickets.

But her analogy is incorrect. With a party, you have guests come over (or show up unannounced), entertain them, then they leave. With Haiti, you'd be inviting people over to stay, hence refuge from their country and they don't leave. Therefore, Immigration doesn't properly compare to having a Party which is why Mr.Hall looked at her like she was a dumb ass. And Amber is right because the two don't compare. Makes zero sense to me. Its fun to have the more the merrier when its a party. Its a lot less fun when they stay forever and eat your food, and you only have so much. Their fashion was ahead of time

Their facial expressions after their misinterpretation of "straight friends" was hilarious

My favourite line is the dad when says “I’ve got a 45 and a shovel” classic😂

"My surgeon doesn't want me doing any activity where balls fly at my nose." "Well there goes your social life" 😂😂😂😂

I’m 50 now and still never tire of watching it

watching this movie made me think that this was the first movie with karen smith as a protagonist

Cher was so ahead of her time. I like it whenever she says "it was so last season or so five years ago".

I don’t think people understand. Alicia is in EVERY scene of this movie. The amount of effort that takes is inane.

if u pause and read the teacher comments on her report card, the teacher said for geometry “nice shapes” 😂

Her voice is literally so adorable the way she says "Calvin klein"
