The wobble on that thing🙈 if you try it on a surface that dosent wobble you will find the force feedback will feel much nicer

Granted the rid does flex. But the ffb quality is still comparable to the csl dd.

@@racingwitherl9643 it's acting like a shock absorber making you lose any extra detail from the club sport dd, even the cls dd would feel much better in a ridged wheel deck... Get an aluminium profile rig, they don't take up much room are completely solid and very adjustable... Its what u need m8

Thanks. Yeah It’s something I didn’t see in reviews before buying a CSL dd 2 years ago so decided to add mention it.

Thanks for putting the time into making this, very few reviews of this thing. Don't forget the clubsport will eventually have Full Force FFB which is supposed to add another layer of realism that other Fanatec models cannot do. I hope when Full Force comes out you can revisit the Clubsport DD and let us know ur thoughts!

Simple modification to qr2 lite allows full power and the ability to install it on any wheel or hub (it's much stronger than implied)

No, the QR2 Lite or QR1 Lite will limit FFB to 8nm on all wheel bases.

No worries bro just feel like ur missed out on how good the csl dd is driving like that, u thought about adding some timber struts for extra support probably do the job

I appreciate it man. As of a couple days ago I got a gt omega prime lite. Been building it and shooting b roll for a first impressions sort of video. It should be out soon.

Having a 15NM Wheel base on the playseat challenge is quite a stretch haha! I have the CSL DD on the PS challenge and it’s shaky at 5NM and absolutely at the limit with 8Nm. I couldn’t think any stronger without damaging the playseat. And I do have a full reinforcement kit on my playseat to hold the forces! You only have an upgraded pedal holder mount to the chair in the picture. Think about the full reinforcement kit, especially on the wheelbase mount plate.

Cheers dude, while this is only the 12NM version. I did have thoughts about getting the reinforcement kit but made plans for a more sturdy rig going forward.

Heyyy you are the first I see with a Clubsport DD on a Playseat Challenge. I had the DD Pro 8nm on my Challenge with the Indigolime mod and that works perfect!! So now waiting for the Clubsport DD+ (will not use max torque). But how did you attach it to the Challenge? Did you use 2, 3 or 4 M6 bolts? Any tips and tricks would help

@@giogamer4825 yeah it’s definitely not an ideal solution but it works for now. I use 3 m6 screws. Later in the video there’s brief mention of the mounting configuration I went with. I’ll add chapters to the video for easier navigation.

Hello, I have a question. When your Clubsport DD is on but you are not playing, do you feel a slight vibration in your steering wheels? I have 3 steering wheels and in all of them I feel a slight vibration without playing. Thanks and Regards

I’ve noticed this aswell. I though maybe it might be because of the way I’ve set it up but perhaps I’m being irresponsible in thinking this. I will email fanatec to find out why this is happening.

@@racingwitherl9643 Thank you for the fast information. My cl dd was currently being repaired at fanatec because of coil whining and these vibrations. The coil whine has been fixed, the vibrations are still there. I'll probably ask fanatec again. Many greetings and have a good drive.

@@giogamer4825 Current update to my dd base, which I sent to fanatec for repairs for the second time. fanatec service contacted me today. A brand new cs dd base was sent to me. I hope it works correctly this time :-).

The dd+ is the best wheelbase ive ever used. Better then my 20nm simagic, better then the dd1 and so on. I have the dd+ and you cant feel a differnece asuch on a rig that cant handle is and is dampening it lol you also need to make sure to set it right. Its kind of funny watching this.

You can get after market braces for the challenge base plate. Makes it a lot stiffer. I don’t know how you can use it like that 🤯 must feel terrible

😂 Im genuinely enjoying the way you guys are getting on my case. The funny thing is, I knew the flex was there but just got used to it. Clearly it’s the stuff of nightmares. I don’t think it feels bad but I’m getting a proper rig in the next few months so i’ll find out how bad it actually is 😅.

@@racingwitherl9643 I’ve got the challenge myself. Recently bought the DD Pro 8Nm, so bought the braces and CSL load cell pedal mounting kit from IndigoLime. Makes such a huge difference.

How much stick have you received from the wobble of your rig? 😂 Good vid though!

Wheel base doesn’t matter on Xbox, the Wheel has the chip in it.. just need to buy a steering wheel that is Xbox compatible. But beware there is an issue with both the dd and dd+ that has to do with powering on. Mine worked fine for a few months but the base will no longer power up and initiate. It sends power to whatever wheel you have mounted on it but it errors. Going to have to send it for repair or replacement. The Fanatec forums have quite a few posts regarding this with no solution or possible cause of the problem. Great wheel base and have loved it until this happened. Gotta remount my g923 and wait for this to be resolved.

just to say that your base flex extremly, at this ammount of force you need more metal than a thin sheet of aluminium

Change that sim rig man. it just flexes like is made out of gum:)) your steering goes up and down like a rollercoaster:)) what a joke....you can't feel any difference as that is impossible to give you accuracy when you have so much play in the bloody thing.:))

Nope. Seen as there is no right path to upgrading, I’ve made my choices and I’m content with em and wouldn’t go back to change my choices. I’d rather a wobbly rig and dd than a sturdy one with a g29 or t300 😉.

I’m sorry but this is nonsense. I can agree with the sentiment that fidelity is lost due to the flex on the rig. But to claim this review is useless in the way that you have is just plain ignorant. But an aluminium rig is coming soon. Regards.
