@@aroy8094 Leadership? We been talking about leadership for the Suns players for the last 15 years. Wasn't that what Ablett was for? This club should have leaders ALREADY. Now they want to resort to giving 1 year deals to cooked players. What a mess.

@@LAT04 The Suns are the one team that landing dusty could kill the culture. Imagine a young fella trying to get game time and then Dimma gives game time to a dinosaur. Its going to kill the culture overnight. From a commercial angle though, I agree with you

Been a Richmond supporter and member all my life. I've got nothing but admiration and respect for Dusty and whatever he decides I'll be fine with. He and all the other retired champions gave us an incredible ride which will stay with me forever.

I'd assume to be close to Hardwick and get away from the Victorian media like Damien " knows what's best for everyone " Barrett. But I couldn't see him leaving Richmond.

I wouldn’t take him on big money. He’s not the same player he once was.

Can’t think of a single club other than North Melbourne (purely for the PR and relevance) that would benefit from offering Dusty a 2 yr $2.something million contract. What’s the expectation ? That he can play 25-30 games max at 12-15 per year in his current form? A champion of the game, but not a lot left in the tank physically.

No thanks Norf dont need him. I would be surprised if any club took him. I dont think he will benefit from a move. Hes done it all and has millions of dollars. I cant see him running around in a Gold Coast summer pre-season. I always prefer when champ players finish at their own club.

Do we really need this in depth discussion on a player whose given his heart and soul to his employer his club his workmates / teammates. If he wants to continue playing and can but isn’t part of the current clubs future model then move on, if not stay and play on till you know times up. Hey Media stop speculating & driving the agenda, how about be grateful a player of this statute is still about in the modern game and what he can deliver ! Wish north got him years back but in reality glad he stayed where he was and won flags and accolades as he deserved it and so did the tigers!

I don’t really get the motive for Dusty to go to another club if his motivation and fitness is not what it was and he loves the club as much as he says. He’s not missing any premierships and is the most decorated player in grand finals ever. What would be the point of going to the Suns to play in front of 3,000 fans and vuvuzelas?

Damo, can you please give it a rest with the sensationalist “Richmond is a mess” stuff and constant attacks on Gale and Hardwick. Yeah, they have had mass injuries and have big list calls to make. Hardwick jumped ship unexpectedly but the only person who begrudges him is you, Tiges fans will take the 3 flags. They have a rookie coach who’s had a rough initiation. Gale is on the out. But he’s had an incredibly successful tenure guiding the club he still loves, they need him there to find the top executives to replace him. He’s not the type of person to be doing the job off the side of his desk. He’ll be doing the best job he can to leave Richmond in the best state possible before he leaves, chief of which is finding the right CEO. I’m a Hawks fan and we were apparently a ‘mess’ in 2019-2020 too despite a remarkable period of success. It just takes time to rebound when you’ve had so much success and decades without top draft talent. There’s a cost that’s sometimes unavoidable to being a successful club, and that includes the best coaches and executives moving on when their time is up.

If dust leaves and plays for a nother club dog just retire at richmond
