Fun Fact: Fish CAN drown. Different parts of the ocean have different amounts of salt (brine pools), and if a fish swims into one of these areas, they could drown

It's less that they drown in those areas and more that they get poisoned. Dying from inhaling carbon monoxide isn't called "suffocating", it's poisoning.

Now that you're in season 3, remember to check out the banned episode, "Midlife Crustacean". As for these episodes, Plankton sipping from a soda while shifting through realities is such an underrated but hilarious part, that whole episode was crazy, and the Magic Conch is iconic.

Fun fact: Club SpongeBob is a parody of William Golding’s Lord of the Flies novel where SpongeBob is Ralph who establish rules for the boys to survive, Patrick is Piggy who is the smartest of all and offers benefit for Ralph’s leadership, the Magic Conch is the Conch Shell that represents civilization, and Squidward is Jack who rebelled against Ralph into savagery. There are also numerous references, such as the plane “falling out of the sky” and the three getting founded by a rescuer in the end.

You started Season 3 much sooner than I thought you would! I thought it was something you’d be saving for 2024. But anyway, as I’m sure many other folks will tell you and some probably have already told you, “Chocolate With Nuts,” which is around the middle of the season, is probably my favorite Spongebob episode of all time. And it’s one of the most iconic.

Squidward: “Can I have something to eat?” Magic Conch: (Very sassily) No…😂 Also, Squidward remembering his karma and then falling from his bike, down a cliff, and onto a landmine is such a funny moment!! 😂😂

Most of his SpongeBob season 1 videos are missing the "X/10" part in the video titles. He didn't start putting the how much it's out of number in the video titles until very late into the season 1 videos.

One of my favorite games as a kid was Spongebob Battle for Bikini Bottom on the Game Boy Advance, and there’s several levels in that game where Mystery serves as a sidekick. Fond memories, I must say.

The algea is always greener is my second favorite episode of the series, just behind band geeks. It’s has just amount of hilarious jokes and memes as that jokes. Also, it’s technically the first episode where mainstream SpongeBob doesn’t appear but his alternate version does. VICTORY SCREECH!!!!! Also, I feel bad for Squidward during club SpongeBob😂. I can’t blame him for breaking down in the end.

In my opinion, this season has the best episodes. There is one called “Pranks A Lot” which is honestly a hilarious and crazy episode. Overall the season is one of my favorites probably tied with season two, I look forward to watching your reactions to it.

You have no idea how happy I was to see this right after I finished my Spanish exam!! I've been looking forward to this season; I've watched these episodes so many times since I grew up with the original DVD box set! Some of my faves are The Algae's Always Greener, SpongeGuard on Duty, Club SpongeBob, No Weenies Allowed, Chocolate with Nuts, Claws, Mid-Life Crustacean, and The Camping Episode. BTW, what did Nick think the "kitchen is no place for a live horse" bit meant? I always interpreted the joke as either being the customers thinking their patties had horse germs or they thought a live horse was being slaughtered in the kitchen for patty meat. I don't know, maybe I just completely missed it myself 😅🤷‍♀️

Season 3 here we go, how fun!

These episodes kicked off Season 3 pretty well and nostalgically ❤. Squidward with the magic couch was funny 😂 and Plankton’s life as Mr. Krabs was pretty interesting and entertaining, especially when Plankton said “Good Grief! He’s naked!” 🤣🤣 and your reaction to that ❤. The lifeguard one was memorable for Patrick thinking that yellow police tape is ice cream 😂 .

I remember having a shirt with Patrick on it with the board on his head and below it said “I’m bored”.

20:14 I didn’t notice this until someone pointed it out to me a few years ago, but notice how Squidward’s arm is yellow in this shot.

The horse episode is the funniest to me, the coin slot, squidward checking under the tray, SpongeBob calling Patrick a animal 😭😭

Season 3 is by far the best season. Most of my favourite episodes are in this season.

Underwater lakes and rivers actually exist in the ocean. They are VERY salty which can cause fish to actually drown in them. It can put them in shock

There is water at the bottom of the ocean that is so dense that it's like it's own ocean, no ocean fish can survive in that

What I like most about “The Algae’s Always Greener” episode, other than Plankton and Mr. Krabs switching lives is that to me it goes back to something I’ve been saying about Mr. Krabs, which is he’s the real villain of the show and not Plankton

A couple answers, a fish can drown in water in super saturated lakes of salt called brine pools. That's what the goo lagoon is. And Squidward exploded because there are abandoned sea mines littering the ocean floor around bikini bottom.

Back when I was younger, I learned the hard way that fish CAN drown. Our power went out for a whole day, because someone crashed onto an electric box near our neighborhood, which made the bubbles in our aquarium stop working. The next day, while the electric was still out, we found all of our fish dead, except for the algae eater. It was sad, yet educational, to say the least.

At 13:54 I said the same thing, did he forget he can soak water? He was practically made for a little water.

Drowning is actually sometimes described by people who have experienced it as strangely peaceful. Fire, on the other hand, one of the worst ways to go, and the unlucky ones spend days or weeks in hospital before dying from their wounds.

i’ve seen these episodes maybe 20 times each over the last 24 years lol. only today i noticed the “karma” comment is a direct reference to S1E1 when he smacked a jellyfish while he was biking, fell down a cliff and randomly exploded. funny commentary that whatever he does he still gets shit on 😅

Some things you may not know Plankton eating holographic meatloaf is actually what Plankton do in rl, Plankton photosynthesize and thus "eat" light, so him eating a holograph makes sense for their species. There ARE underwater rivers and oceans, at the bottom of the sea the salinity in some areas forms a heavier, thicker water that is so salty it's toxic to most forms of life except some very rare species of fish and eel. Goo Lagoon is likely based on this. (Look up underwater rivers and you can find them). There's plenty of things in the show that actually IS possible underwater, as the show's creator was a marine biologists and thus many jokes revolve around real life underwater events/situations/places.
