Club Penguin Vietnam Anime Movie? A Penguin's Memory Review

Good luck finding a version of this outside of 480p. Clearly I couldn't.

I love that the narrator sounds like Martin Sheen. So appropriate. Edit: I like to imagine the producers said, “We need a script with two romantic lead characters.” And someone said, “I have a script I’ve holding onto forever. It’s a romantic drama, but no one’s showing any interest in it. I guess I could adapt some of the elements into a new script for a cartoon.” “No time to rewrite!Just give it to us as is.” “But it’s not really a cartoon script.” “Look, I needed a script five minutes ago. Send what you have and we’ll shoot it exactly as is. It’s not dirty, is it?” “No, but...” “Then fax it over now! You said yourself no one else was interested. Do you want to sell this thing and see it produced or not?” “I guess this is my only chance.”

Did you notice that the doctor seemed to be a friend of Jill from childhood in one of the photos in his bedroom? When Jill's dad asks him if he wants to be her daughter's lover the scene cuts and we never hear his answer. He also already has a girlfriend and we never see his thoughts as if he was envious or something. I believe from the moment he saw Mike and Jill he just wanted to test if Mike was stable enough as a boyfriend

I keep looking at his face and I’m like “he’s emotionless. Does he care about her right now?” More facial expression would help like if he smiled when he was doing lovely things to jill

Loved your video. Some thoughts, i liked the doctor character alot. I had a lovely girlfriend when i was younger who came from a very well off family. We split when she left for college and i always felt like i wouldnt be successful or good enough for her, not that she cared. This movie hit really hard after studying PTSD and specifically the Vietnam war my whole life. I plan on doing some digging id love to translate some interviews from the writer if their are any. It uncanny how well he did when you read real literature from the war like "boys of 67" or even a movie that came out a few years later "born on the fourth of july". I was expecting alot more dark scenes and was very happy with the ending. Final bit i love how the PTSD is internalized in mike and we dont see overt fancy hollywood esque breakdowns or over drama. Loved the movie
