Sorry not sure of public transport but heard of bike rentals nearby. And while staying there had food within Club Mahindra property only.

If North Goa then Assonora, if South Goa then Varca. Also property wise Assonora is beautiful but if you want walkable to beach then Varca.

Depends on which one you choose. Indian Veg was around Rs.650 as far as I remember.
