But yet again-This could possibly be the theory/Rumour that probably thrown around by the Younger teens and Kids of Swallow Falls-Later New Swallow Falls-,SOME of which whom could've been in attendance during his (essentially/technically) mutiny and/or Scuttlebutting of the town during the Foodstorm/later foodalanche,telling this/these morbid tales to the newcomers (especially new,younger kids' that move to the Island for either working for Sparkswood,the Town itself and/or even exchange students from abroad staying with a Swallow Fallsian Host family or Two even, depending on their situation) to the Town as urban legends once the clean-up and re-establishement of the Town had finished later on,even..Even if ol'Susan Shelbourne's still alive and kicking here,he MIGHT have taken it in stride.. assuming he had an attitude adjustment Post-first Film regardless and got his just Desserts (Pun intended!) later in-fact honestly... *_Flint Lockwood hahahahaha_*

Underrated moment, but at 5:19 you can SEE the Mayor intensely following Flint’s movements and what’s he’s typing, which explains how he was able to hijack the FLDSMFR later in the film. Such a clever bit in a clever movie!

Dude must got a _CRAZY metabolism,I reckon..And come to think about it, really-_ I've *_kinda noticed that,even though they've literally had Sardines for most of their respective Town's diets here to be honest,HOW the hell did NOBODY HERE get sick (as-in literal Food poisoning/Their immune systems going outta whack due to fish intolerance-akin to like Tuna fish,for instance-from eating it for so/too long here,apparently;I'm guessing that anyone with a Fish/Shellfish Allergy-and probably some pescatarians probably on the side here,also-whom already lived there had probably already bailed on the Town and ran off for good measure here probably I Dunno honestly...) from eating what was sent back to the community BEFORE the rest of the town's Dockworkers probably packed-up and bailed altogether here,honestly...?_* Man was *_probably collecting and eating the food Rain almost Day-to-day/Day-to-Night constantly without potentially getting sick from it,_* apparently...Maybe *people in Swallow Falls* _are (just...) built different than some,more than others I suppose also.._

DEFINITELY HAD some not-so-nice words to say to ol'Susan Shelbourne here once he got back,ESPECIALLY FLINT LOCKWOOD HIMSELF here specifically here-probably since HE HIMSELF technically destroyed the world AND tampered with Flint's FLDSMDFR machine without his permission/consent,Flint DEFINITELY had to CHEW (Pun NOT intended) the man out for what he'd done before he got arrested and essentially had to pay back those High-interest Loans AND leave his position as Mayor afterwards here, honestly-in my opinion/Headcanon here,honestly.. TL;DR: *_My personal headcanon states here that Shelbourne probably survivedgot saved and later slimmed down sometime and hid out on an island somewhere else off-screen while/during the events of the second movie here, decided that later on that he'd probably like to know what happened to his little Hellhole Town and later got the Chewing of his life from Flint Lockwood of all people after he returned to his former community after being in self-exile for a while now and essentially had to pay back his dues,step down from his former position and git arrested for his actions here (Probably not JUST THE World-wide Food-weather apocalyptic cataclysm and his skirting of this Mayoral duties here-and-there-even to the point whereas I'm even possibly referencing the Cloudy Prequel series from later on here implicatively where je was even WAY more worse than his 2009 counterpart here, honestly-Man's probably got a track record here,thanks to a CERTAIN Sal the Sardine statue from one episode here, HONESTLY...)_*

Yeah-Especially if some of those Sardines that were eventually sent back to their Town sometime off-screen in the time before the events of the movie proper (and going by this,the Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs prequel series that came later on-in which I DO personally consider Canon in a way,honestly-that boasted the town itself having a massive Sardine boom back in those days,as quoted by the synopsis of said series honestly,that later led into this Movie here,technically sometime before, apparently) were (IRONIC,since Sardines are encased in brine/oil,which IS a form of preservation here AFASIK) probaby past their respective shelf (expiry) date/s and I'm seriously hopeful that nobody living there hadn't gotten sick from out of date Sardines (but hey,Expired Sardines=More sardine Chum for the fishermen,Amirite...?),not to mention that I have assumed/Headcanoned that MAYBE the fact they couldn't afford to import Food from the mainland (let alone common ingredients for most foods here,honestly) to their Town POSSIBLY due to the folk/Dockworkers whom do such that already probably bailed on the town after sending back the last of the Sardines noone/NOBODY else wanted and later decided to say "Bye Felicia/Go Sardine Flipper yourself/yourselves Swallow Falls, We're out! Bye...!" and fled,if I'm afraid here correctly here,mind you dearest...
