I'd forgotten how lovely that song is .. I remember dancing to it and loving it so much in the soulful 80's. Now having lost my dear wife who died in Feb, its hit home once more .. I feel like playing it once a year on her birthday .. and hoping one year .. 'you'll hurry home to me .. ' and in the meantime, there's nothing going right and I just can't sleep alone at night ... ' 'I'm not ashamed to say I badly need a friend ... ' deffo in my top 5, such a great song, I cried buckets earlier !! I'll try again .... next year ..

I was 7 in 1985, the year a school comrade suddenly died of a rare disease, radio was playing this song the month he died so it makes me think about him even 40 years later. Rest in peace little angel jean francois.

Me ! Always. 50 years old and still brings a little tear. Used to play it to my kids when they were small and we'd sing it together. Daughter, now 22, successful DJ and student of the world, this is her exit song every set Still listening. Most underrated song of the 80s. I was a taxi driver when this was in the charts. I worked nights and often had to cover early morning shifts...there was one week when I didn't go home for almost a week due to my overtime....my now late wife would call the base and ask them to ask me to call home as she hadn't seen me for ages....so I'd find the nearest payphone and call home.....she used to say that she and our kids were missing me and to take care....but soon, I'd hear my taxi radio call to see where I was and I'd have to hang up...another memory is that the car I was driving, had a faulty windshield seal and when it rained, rainwater would trickle down the inside of the glass....

Born in 66 myself an this was big in 85, could be seen as an early Daft Punk but we can trace that back earlier and early Rah Band stuff played a part along with the likes of Kraftwerk

This tune takes me back, my girlfriend had gone to Japan to work for a month, she was on the other side of the world, before mobile phones, before social media, before Skype and I missed her dreadfully. I wrote to her every day, I wrote her old fashioned love letters with my calligraphy pen and my dad took them to the post office to get them stamped and sent. The post mistress commented to my dad what beautiful writing, my girlfriend was delighted to receive them and her female colleagues were jealous of her having letters every day as some of them had no letters at all. That relationship has long since ended, I wonder if she kept the letters.......................................

I am a 66 year old geezer, and I remember this first time round. In the late 60's all of the 70's and the early 80's, we were blessed to have all this pukka music. Vocals you could hear and understand plus some well pukka funk/jazz funk/ soul/ disco and so much more. This particular track just puts a massive smile on my boat race (face).❤

How did I never know of this till now. I’m 57 now and god did I love the 80’s. My life’s most cherished memories are from then. I have a feeling being in my 20’s the whole decade had something to do with it though. Now I look at how so many from my youth are passing away and can’t help but tear up as I watch their videos.

An unforgetable hit of the 80's. Very sad song of our youngness. Too much tears in my heart to belong to write. 'll try again next year..next year..

Eu escutei ela em um desfile da channel (vídeo) e procurei por uns 2 anos. Ai escutei uma música japonesa que me lembrava algo...ai descobri mos comentários daquela música que era uma regravação dessa! Assim que descobri o nome.

Listened these song one time only in my life. Antena 1 came back to Rio de Janeiro FM dial, i don’t remember for sure the frequency. 103,70 MHz, maybe. I was in my bedroom, late night, these song started playing. Runned to my phone trying to find the tittle and artist. Thank God, i did!

Heard Clouds across the moon on Radio Active sometime not long after it was released and phoned and the DJ told me RAH BAND yeah i miss the '80 s and yeah made me tears too HOPEING that for those who are grieving and those that miss those times i was 18 in 1980 was about to have a breakdown my life took a turn and lost my sensibilities emotionally was never the same still affected from and flashback to some of that " hi Nat and sharon 1980 " lost my mind was going through trauma had issues with substances " hi Lorraine , hi Mary , i have so much that emotionally foundation of those in the 1980 s got me through songs like Clouds across the moon and a more heart felt way helped pull me through

Just watched Mcdonald and Dodds on ITV, clouds across the moon was name of the episode and there was a lady singing a slow version of it to the piano. I instantly knew it and began singing along. Very quirky, very catchy, a great song that I remember well.

I remember listening to this on Radio One in the eighties and they did an interview with the band who said that they recorded the vocals for the song in the hallway of their home. Not sure why I’ve remembered that tidbit of information but I’m sure it has served me well!
