I see a lot of videos on this fight. This was the first 1 that impressed me. All the other ones were spamming magic with unlimited ATB with yuffie brumal form and arcane ward. This is how hardcore gamers play. Nicely done. Sonic boom is OP If you used prime mode you probably would have killed a little faster

THIS. THIS comment right here is how I've been feeling watching the other runs of this. I'm also going to go for a WR of some kind but seeing people just spam with Yuffie and cheese their way to 1:41 isn't entertaining. This is how most of people will be, trying to brute force with a mix of simple knowledge of patterns and keeping the team topped off. Solo is another thing in of itself. This is awesome man

Hi great video, inspiring for me. it’s one of my last fights to complete for the platinum and sephiroth has my number big time 😂 I’ve noticed cloud stabbing down and forward with the sword during your combos and have rarely seen this during my own game, how are you doing that attack? Is it like a hold square thing? Thanks Edit: an example of the attack is 0:32-0:34

When you are in punisher mode hold down the square button. It gives you fury which increases your damage given and taken. You get a stronger buff if you use this attack while using the ability that upgrades your punisher mode.

Is the buster sword the best when maxed out at weapon level 9 ? because there’s better attack damage swords or do you just have it equipped just for style lol it does look the best. I noticed also that you heal more with sonic boom because you have magic up

Did you have Party Level 10 and therefore all of Cloud's folios or were you missing some? I know people haven't been mentioning folios in their builds so I thought I'd ask. When I beat this, I only had party level 9. But I haven't done a solo run of this challenge like I've seen many others do.

When you parry the shadow attack from Sephiroth, you switch to operator mode and used the parry touch ? And you need to count exactly 4 seconds

I did a test and compared damage number between no berserk, normal berserk and prime mode berserk during Cloud's tutorial simulator battle. I used Braver to do the test. Here's the breakdown: Without berserk: 2.2k - 2.4k Normal berserk: 2.8k - 3k Prime Mode berserk: 3.3k - 3.6k After doing the math, Prime Mode berserk adds roughly around 50% extra damage over base damage number without berserk. That's way more than normal berserk's 30%. This is why I always stack prime mode with sonic boom whenever I get the chance for crazy damage number

@@Avtenom Oh that's interesting, how often were you using counterstance? Like how many times did you use it per enemy? I have disliked that ability but that is in part due to me preferring use my shortcuts for other stuff I guess and not taking the time to get good with it.

You need genji gloves to break the 9999 damage cap. He's using genji gloves in this vid. That's how he can do 5-figure damage

What's the difference between perfect parry punisher mode, and using counterstance at perfect timing?

Perfect punisher parry, you are immune from the start of the animation til the end. With Counterstance, you re only immune at the time of the parry.

They are still attacking quite often, the thing is he's able to deal with most of their attacks with his excellent timing.

How is your Bravers doing so much damage, I run the same setup with Braver only doing half as much.

Probably because you don't use Sonic Boom ability and Cloud's berserk buff (Hold square)

In a way i think solo might actually be easier since you are not super distracted by everything else going on around (managing everybody's atb, topping up low teammates, and bosses just running around doing their aoes all over the area....). Then you can just pay 100% attention on your game with perfect parrying, lining up abilities to proc skill master, etc..I havent done a solo on this one but did solo back in Remake and its probably gonna feel the same

Solo can be challenging coz you are relying on a single character to do everything and their specialization may not be the right fit for the given battle. Most crazy fast world record time (somewhere around sub-1min to sub-3min) is mostly done with a full party with access to every character's specialization

It would be cool to be able to practice Sephiroth 1v1, but having to get through all the other rounds just to have a shot means I don't think I'll ever bother.

What was the point of the magic yo materia if you didn’t plan to use spells? Same with genju gloves I feel like if you’re not using spells you’d rarely break damage cap

I think genji glove is very strong. Look at Sephiroth & Alexander. Magic up increases the damage of every attack cuz i equiped elemental on my sword.

@@Avtenom He used that spinning 2 ATB physical attack once per enemy give or take...it was dealing like 20/30k damage or whatever. Also, the Magic Up will increase the damage from long ranged attacks for Cloud although I don't think this guy used that attack particularly often. I didn't know extra magic would increase the elemental damage from the elemental materia. That's definitely something I didn't mess around with all that much...I remember it took me forever just to realize Euphie's Ninjutsu was based on her Magic stat. Also it increases the healing he's getting from the Sonic Boom hits(by increasing Sonic Boom damage), although I suppose that in itself is not a huge difference maker. Anyway I guess the title should say 'no spells' but I understand what he means.

Can you do cloud solo those brutal challenge?

OH! Sonic Boom ability gives the Bravery buff not the one Cloud shoots when he dodges. Now I see what I been doing wrong lmao
