Dude i love how cloud plays in Rebirth, he really got an incredible kit in this game. He's the main character too so it's good they made him one of the most versatile and enjoyable to play

Hi @GamerBreakerGod, great content. I’m struggling to pull off the evasive sweeping strike. I can do the sweeping strike by pressing square then immediately holding it down, but making the move evasive isn’t happening for me, I just end up doing the mid-air stabbing combo. I know it’s clearly explained in 3:10, but to do it, is it press square then hold and then tap circle? Also, to mid-air dodge continuously, do you tap circle then triangle or vice versa? Just want to get those in subtle nuances with the input, just like Tekken requires.

When I hold square after sweeping strike it doesn’t follow up with the chase stab. Am I missing something?

The follow up from sweeping strike to the chase stab is one of the harder inputs. Its hold square into hold square which sounds very simple but the timing is kinda rough. Gotta be fast with the 2nd hold input.

Can you use those outfits the whole game?

Hey brother with the one hit cancel did you mean square then R1? It shows you pressing L1 but the synergy menu is poping up.. im confused

Doesnt the punisher counter only counter in like the first 1.5seconds after you press the button and you have to do a perfect block beyond that?

Yes, but generally if you are sitting still for more than 1.5 seconds in this game you are doing something wrong anyway.

Weird for a combat guide to be focused primarily around juggling when the only enemies that can actually be juggled are trivial. I-frame stuff is useful though. I mean... I sort of disagree with it being in the game in the first place, as it takes what I considered a nearly perfect balance between emphasizing basic attacks and ATB moves that Remake had and shifts it too far towards basic attacks, but it's useful.

Well, Cloud controls more like a DMC character... which some people are going to love since it makes you feel more powerful, but it also has the negative implication of making him just always feel like the best person for the job. None of the other returning characters got anywhere near the uplift that Cloud got and Cloud was arguably already the best character in the first Remake.

@@deedoubs yes and no. Yes the combat director is from capcom's monster hunter series. As for the best remake character it was tifa. Cloud could only do 3 hit aerial combo pretty useless. For all enemies that were fly type or like odin people were fighting with aerith and tifa. Not cloud

🤦 It's not "switch to punisher mode" it's "switch to operator mode" Punisher mode is your default, operator is your stagger build mode. I know it's small, but I've seen so many people get it wrong even since Remake
