I am having one doubt, when we are calling z() at line 25 it should print 1 as a's value is 1, afterwords 'a' is re-assgined at line 27, then why z() function is returning 999 value, 'a' is re-assigned after calling z() function. A closure is the combination of a function bundled together (enclosed) with references to its surrounding state (the lexical environment). In other words, a closure gives you access to an outer function's scope from an inner function. In JavaScript, closures are created every time a function is created, at function creation time.
