What are the benefits of a top through loop? Smaller pack?

You got it. It helps compress the pack job further and creates a lower profile and smaller pack job.

potential improvement?? I think it would be a great idea to make the pin cover transparent or possibly give it a window. the first thing I thought of was, "wat if im travel to my exit and my bridle moves or possibly moves my pins" with a window I wont need to open and close my pin cover to check. thought id share my thoughts.

LOL, despite Gabe's very brief answer, he's not wrong. You should ALWAYS check your pins as close to the exit as possible. If you have to travel then you get as close as you can, check your gear, gear up, jump. A window would not be beneficial and actually would facilitate very unsafe behavior.

Do you need to have a USPA license to buy a container + parachute?
