Thank you for the ride of a lifetime Misha! The car survived a 7000+km, 12 day, 5 county, 1 racetrack, road trip, without any problems at all. I will fix the tyre situation and return next year. The tyres didnt have much markings on them from the rubbing it sounds much worse then it looks on the tyres. The car is my summer daily here in Sweden. Thank you again Misha! #pancakesforpancake

@@adrollason7220 i go elsewhere occasionally for the crash compilations - rich as fuck dudes overestimating themselves crashing their expensive cars is always a true love experience imho.. I may feel bad for most "normal" people crashing in those videos, but then again it's what they chose so i'm 50/50 on that - nobody forced them to drive over their limits on the ring.. So glad to see all concerned are safe. @mgcharoudin hats off to you sir for some awesome reactions there which undoubtedly saved a much bigger incident, not only avoiding it but also staying on the track yourself at what is a very challenging point on the lap with all the camber, direction and elevation changes. Hi Misha! Great content as usual! It would be great to see a video about what people who aren't much into mechanics should look into with their old cars if it is their first time taking it to track! Would also help prevent easy mechanical failures :) Thank you for the lovely content
Have myself a LHD converted one - such a great car. Never thougt of camping it. Such a cool guy using ALL of it - loved to see that.
Same rotor and brake pads in my CTS-V. Very impressed with the bite from the Hawk pads and DBA T3 5000 rotors! Running Michelin Pilot Sport 4s.
I love the high mileage. It shows that this gem actually gets driven!
Good to see you back on the ring misha, good to keep it going and dont get fear of crashing get you. Confidence!
The Evo wagon, Nissan Stagea, Legnum VR4 and Subaru GTB are underrated JDM wagon sleepers.
What a ride ! Always had a soft spot from square wagons ♥ As others already commented, you had quite a few mishaps recently, not that they're your fault, but from experience i know it calls for backing-off a little, just temporarly, before something really bad happens (though it was a good call to lap the GT3 shortly after the crash to get back on your horse !). We just want you safe out here Misha, to live a long and happy life with Megi and all your projects ! Listening to your podcast recently made us even more in love with your personality, your character, your values, your choices ! Take care Misha, hope you two have a nice time in Croatia !

Looks like you hit about 250 at one point. Very very nice! The acceleration in 5th and 6 th is pretty good.
1/4 fuel tank in 16km..amazing
a great video all together. i will hopefully be shipping my '99 stagea 260RS next year and hope to be able to try the track one day. hope to see more content like this
Used to have an '03 Outlander, had this issue: the rear diff used to bang on chassis when changing gears from 1 to 2nd/2nd to 3rd, same thing with this EVO (there are 2 bushing on rear diff MR580045 and MR580046 to be changed) Apart that and rubbing, AMAZING CAR!!!
I love watching Misha saving it, in sitations that are almost certain disaster.
Great vid as always. What a car, sublime. Lowering springs and semi slicks are rarely a good combination.
As that black car was running wide onto the curb I was thinking they must have been looking back at the car approaching from behind fast as f*** and got caught off guard by the curb, poor driver, glad you guys avoided that one.... could have been far worse. Not to mention maybe losing one of so few Evo wags. That one would sting.
Definitely feel for the driver and after your reasoning Misha, I also feel for you too and you're right there was a photographer and the emergency track guys are experienced with that kind of predicament
Just come across this after the 5 speed Evo 9 film... brilliant! I always wanted to see a 6 speed being driven hard so im less paranoid about mine 😂 Never been into the wagons but this is one wagon I'd have. I did chuckle when you turned the air con on, I always use it as the car picks up speed faster than the electric windows can close 😂 Evoooooo IX! ❤
I've seen this guy and this car at several car meets in sweden. The evo wagon is such a cool car.
You can watch the crash though his sunglasses! 😎🔥💯 Amazing save as well brother
The EVO IX is my dream car so seeing another one on the channel is great
I'm not much of an Evo guy but the wagons are super cool. Owner seemed like a fun guy for lapping with as well.
Smart approach to tuning your ride
@Misha I died when the passenger said "DAUM" your face at 4:57 PRICELESS, yes tires way to wide! that was a good belly laugh! Thank you!
That was a real close call 😮
A lot of Scandinavians has this habit of adapting accents, so a lot of us can sound somewhat "American" when we speak English, I'd say Nordics, but Finns... do have a strong habit of Rally English :P

If I recall the last EVO wasn't on great tires. This car seemed sorted other than being a bit too low for the track. Perfect for a daily. Nice lap other than the crash but thankfully it sounds like they are OK
Was hesitating on buying one, but the thing that held me back the RHD only (because it would have been my DD in Switzerland)... Ended with a 2018 WRX STI instead !😍😍
Great video as always Misha. The car is 1 I've never seen before & the owner seems like such a great guy & was so relaxed & easy going. I'm glad the BMW driver was alright.

Misha, your a stand up dude! Nothing more you could have done for that fella that got sideways. Plus like you said. There were plenty of folks within 100 or so meters from the accident. I hope they were okay!
Fantastic motor, only advice for the owner... get the whole underside sealed (wax oiled as we call it in Ireland) very bad for rust and rot underneath. Great lap other than the obvious and the yellows
That was a close one! For me the scariest part of the whole track is foxhole and right after it. Big speeds, downhill and one look in the mirror at that speed and can get you like the BMW. Misha, what advice would you get when going down and how to avoid situations like this?
damn i remember JRM from the old days the days of ~110k SEK r32 GTR's and ~80k SEK r33 gts-25t's
I found it so funny with the speedometer going over 180, I'd mark it with a pen or something xD
Seems like a tarmac spec rally car will be ideal around the Nurburgring. Monza Rally was part of the WRC. A German Rally with a N'Ring Special Stage would be very cool. They could include the South loop, too.
@flurpoid
10 ай бұрын
There's an event they do where the rally cars run the circuit the opposite direction. An onboard of a tarmac spec Opel Manta 400 or Sierra Cosworth RS500 would be an absolute treat.
Indeed what Misha said, I feel sorry for him because we were behind him... Yea I agree on that one. He was careful and wanted to leave room but most likely didn't pay attention to his outside line and too much in his mirrors, bit of curb and grass and it's over. Respect that both of you checked each other out and for the owner to ask if you wanted to continue (as you said not much you can do but still very thoughtful) Stay safe!
The E30M3 @ 8:30 is from Norway. :D I'll remember the dark wagon came past me when I hit the warning light there. :D
I love that the speed is going off the speedo past 180 and still has another gear left

Would love to see you drive an EVO X GSR one day. Love the videos keep em coming! 😁
I love Evo's but this is special, a shame is so rare...
"I think 235s might be a bit wide for this chassis..." ... you don't say lol. What a madlad
That yellow came at just the right time, because the water temp had been rapidly increasing. The stock gauges in modern cars are usually quite heavily center weighted so when they start to go north of the centre line they're usually on their way to overheating. This is why I like an extra gauge that gives an accurate temp reading. Him turning on the aircon didn't seem to do the temp any favours either, more load on already heavily loaded engine. You'll see the gauge started to go north of centre at around 8.55 and aside from a brief cooldown during the first flag, its steadily climbing after that. Maybe he could change the coolant to that waterless stuff where its less dangerous for the temps to get high.

You can fit 255 with rolling the fenders. I was running 265 with a modest roll and pull but I rubbed, but I was 2mm lower than I should be.
What a car. Good job Misha 🤘
🟢Tarmac Gravel Snow SO fuckjng simple, so good, EVO IX deff in my top 10
235 width tires are stock size for the Evo 9. The rubbing issue is not the tire size, it's the wheels that are too offset for the car. Looks good but doesn't function good on track. I used to run 255 on my Evo and some track guys will run 275 without issue.
Love the Day's of Thunder reference
The speed gauge cam is hilarious in this video
As it was said in other comments, 235 width is stock on Evo 8 & 9. I was running 255/40/17 on both my Evos on stock suspension and without any rubbing. My 8 had rubbing only after I installed the coilovers and lowered it and 9 was fine on stock bilstein suspension. Just find the right offset wheels!

235 should be perfectly fine on an evo 9, got the wrong offset wheels on it. Needs to add some camber to it or get new wheels
