Thank you for the ride of a lifetime Misha! The car survived a 7000+km, 12 day, 5 county, 1 racetrack, road trip, without any problems at all. I will fix the tyre situation and return next year. We just want you safe out here Misha, to live a long and happy life with Megi and all your projects ! That yellow came at just the right time, because the water temp had been rapidly increasing. The stock gauges in modern cars are usually quite heavily center weighted so when they start to go north of the centre line they're usually on their way to overheating. This is why I like an extra gauge that gives an accurate temp reading. Him turning on the aircon didn't seem to do the temp any favours either, more load on already heavily loaded engine. You'll see the gauge started to go north of centre at around 8.55 and aside from a brief cooldown during the first flag, its steadily climbing after that. Maybe he could change the coolant to that waterless stuff where its less dangerous for the temps to get high.

I checked the logg after the run 98c on water temp, The car had a new waterpump, fluids, all the belts and pullys are all new Mitsubishi parts prior to my trip down.

Aftermarket radiator, brushless fan from Steele or Spal and coolant boost would be good addition. I run 235 40 18 on 30 offset.

I like to use my phone to monitor water temp via OBD. Temps in my Miata stay low on the track but rise when idling. Unfortunately I can't check oil temp or pressure, need to install sensors and gauge/s for that

Bigger rad is already on and it had new fluids prior to my trip, but ill look in to upgrading the fan to a bigger better unit during the winter, thanks for the advice.@@frequency0007

You can fit 255 with rolling the fenders. I was running 265 with a modest roll and pull but I rubbed, but I was 2mm lower than I should be.

235 width tires are stock size for the Evo 9. The rubbing issue is not the tire size, it's the wheels that are too offset for the car. Looks good but doesn't function good on track. I used to run 255 on my Evo and some track guys will run 275 without issue.

As it was said in other comments, 235 width is stock on Evo 8 & 9. I was running 255/40/17 on both my Evos on stock suspension and without any rubbing. My 8 had rubbing only after I installed the coilovers and lowered it and 9 was fine on stock bilstein suspension. Just find the right offset wheels!

Nice evo 💪 I've driven it too with some ecu and all spec version and I could not send it in normal traffic... now when I see it going it gave me a confident boost. I think I'll come around the track next year with smax st and couple of friends. Then I'd like if Mr choroid...damn what a difficult last name... would come for a ride and drive also. So 2 lap on cam...

235 should be perfectly fine on an evo 9, got the wrong offset wheels on it. Needs to add some camber to it or get new wheels
