While it was definitely smarter to make the droids not rely on such a thing, lower intelligence was certainly a noticeable consequence.

See footage of commando driods dashing towards people and you start to get a idea of it. Imagine if they added buzz droids, a swarm of fast, hard to hit, gory killers that would fly over the top of the clones, forcing them to divide their fire between the ground forces and waste ammo firing at the sky to prevent their brothers from being ripped to shreds.

I love how they are dumb, humorous, funny, also clumsy that’s why they are my favorite

it's so sad on how these droids know they're going to die and die and they can't avoid it. They always say a sad sentence or "ohh nooo..." when they know there life is over :(

I love how that commander from episode 1 is the only competent B1 in the entire series, but everyone around him is so stupid it doesn’t matter
