Sorry, another comment: Ollie once wrote a long answer to a comment about soap - yes, he does that every once in a while 😉! He explained that oil from the kitchen in combination with something I forgot over time turns into soap. So it doesn't have to be actual soap from washing machine or shower, too much oil down the drains can cause that same problem. Just mentioning ...

Measuring cup.....that is actually impressive as hell that even got into the pipe. nice old stillson pipe wrench in video. clearly an previous owner knew to cleanse the trap and keep it flowing well, before it clogged to the moon and back thrice. LOL. whole house traps clogging point #1, but maybe that's a good thing, as it keep idiocy from going down stream? yeah, probably not enough still
For a while there, I thought it was going to be an External access unclog, but nope, basement where the drains are..

I thought so my self when the owner told me to just snake the outside clean out, and I ran a hose to double check.

Try to avoid the power stuff, and the more water the better 👍 as in flush the toilet twice after a load.
I would guess the measuring cup is from some "hair products", frosting/bleaching, etc. dropped into a throne and flushed. or maybe silly kids playing put it there. always an open throne lid/seat and women doing hair care at the sink, then leaving said products cluttered everywhere! tiny sink, that's tall and no space is the fix.
