    I just finished the same thing hardened soap scum/grease. After 4 times with a 25 ft snake last week and today with a 50ft snake twice I finally got it “flowing like a river “ awesome job as always Don. Have a Blessed One Sir. From Silverstreet South Carolina out in the middle of nowhere lol 😂

    Sorry, another comment: Ollie once wrote a long answer to a comment about soap - yes, he does that every once in a while 😉! He explained that oil from the kitchen in combination with something I forgot over time turns into soap. So it doesn't have to be actual soap from washing machine or shower, too much oil down the drains can cause that same problem. Just mentioning ...

    I just gave the customer a quick, non detailed answer, soap, grease it's pretty much breaks down to the same thing. But you can tell which is which but the color and smell.😉

    Like you might have seen, they drag a tire through a culvert to clean out the pipe, could you drag something through the trap to try and get out the heavy stuff at the bottom that is hard to get to and doesn't wash out easily?

    Sure, but even if the clog is 5 ft away, I still run a good length through the pipes to clean all, not some of the pipes (most of the time, 35-50 ft.)😉 thanks 😊

    Measuring cup.....that is actually impressive as hell that even got into the pipe. Also these home owners got lucky you were able to pop the clog from the trap and not have to have the usual poop geyser. :P Actually question for you, how often have you had one of the tools at the tip there break off when doing a job?

    A hand full of times, remember I'm doing 6-10 jobs a day 5 days a week, so they tend to give way after a few, especially a really ruff job.

    nice old stillson pipe wrench in video. clearly an previous owner knew to cleanse the trap and keep it flowing well, before it clogged to the moon and back thrice. LOL. whole house traps clogging point #1, but maybe that's a good thing, as it keep idiocy from going down stream? yeah, probably not enough still

    They told me to clean it from the outside cleanout, that there was no trap on the inside, after running the hose for a few minutes, I located trap and clog inside.

    It all depends, the orangey brownish color is usually grease which has a strong smell and the soap scum is more white rocky looking and doesn't smell.

    No. Case iron pipe fittings are poured in a two part sand mold, right and left halves. The line is the mold seam.

    @@NYDRAINS Don - my son is a plumber. He works for a Company now after being self employed. But he still has calls privately. So he finishes work at 5 or 6 and has to go on to do other jobs and he doesn't get home til gone 10 at night! It's wearing him down! So I completely understand mate. x

    I would guess the measuring cup is from some "hair products", frosting/bleaching, etc. dropped into a throne and flushed. or maybe silly kids playing put it there. always an open throne lid/seat and women doing hair care at the sink, then leaving said products cluttered everywhere! tiny sink, that's tall and no space is the fix. (lol)

    At 4:00 did anybody see that frog little tiny frog next to the pipe on the wall at four minutes exactly he crawls into the crevice. Please let me know if I’m losing my mind did you see the same thing a little tiny frog or was it my imagination?
