Since this video is somewhat going viral currently (at least by my measures) I want to take the time to thank everyone who has watched and or subscribed - I really appreciate it. This channel was meant to provide entertainment to hobbyists and beginners and not a source of education or promote a new standard of training. That it only took a few content of my alternative coaching craft to get this channel going is really nice to see and exciting after testing the waters on Facebook. Also thanks for all the lovely comments and suggestions. Please be assured that I read them all, although I can’t possibly answer all of you. There is only so many times I can say "thanks" or "thank you" before it starts to feel silly ; ) I'm already working on more content for you but please be patient as I'm working alone.

@@CruzControlPH no better teacher than experience. Shows how effective your techniques are po coach. Aerodynamic positioning really does trump weight in this race. Getting the casual riders to ride with the pros to get a feel for what it’s like to race with top level athletes is the best way to gauge their individual skills and fitness (I’ll never forget my first race where I was dropped and lapped two and a half times). They can actually use this footage to learn how to properly shelter properly from the wind by closing the gap. At least your disciples already know the benefit of constantly pedaling because we all know that coasting reduces momentum.

Nolan, your comment is very mature and respectful. Often, a very few timid viewers credit the race to the *Type of bike used* and forget the element of cohesiveness and unselfish teamwork of each newbie learning to ride . Orly and Angelo are icons of the sport and our newbies were at awe to have a chance to have glimpse of them. their chase was an effect of inspiration and admiration to these cycling Gods that we have grown to love and respect

TTT bike top speed varies. A tail wind can adversely increase your speeds. But for us to be comfortable at sustainable speed of 42 kph and up, this particular set up uses a 58 x 11-25 Just because we don’t have the fitness anymore to ride at high heart rates and depend on torque instead to ride at 60 to 65 rpm and hold 38 to 45 kph for an hour

From bikerdude to this. Wow Coach whats ur insight if tommy didn't crash? Possible ba ur were maybe 4th-5th place?

It’s always easy to make sweeping predictions of “what if”. Many things can happen. We get the results based on the moment and give acknowledgment for the winners who did not crash. We realize after the fact that Tom went on the corner faster than what his tires can grip. If it worked, then we celebrate. If it doesn’t, it’s worth trying than never trying at all

There's a saying " Everything that worked is credited Except the biker". in hindsight, it's like a disrespect to our Seasoned ex pros and racers to say that The Type of bike can beat them anytime of the day. That "any recreational weekend rider can go to the start line with a Time trial bike* and beat our Pros. Perhaps we can credit the other aspects of the equation. Cohesiveness perhaps ? and the element of unselfish teamwork? Just a thought
