TWICE in a month, does Jay Leno drive a CLK63 AMG Black Series. A reflection on how great this car is, and its legendary status.

Very exciting to see Jay and Donald favorably review this car. I have a 2007 CLK 550 Cabriolet in excellent condition that I enjoy very much. Very similar body and interior, probably a 2nd cousin of this car. Lots of fun to drive but expensive to maintain

I own a 2000 E55 AMG just like Jay referenced in the beginning of the video. It is indeed the perfect one car solution. Also, they are easy to maintain. Trim parts can be hard to come by but overall it’s amazing. I have 203k miles on mine.

Por favor team. Jay made a good point about if you could only have one car. Call me strange, but I would pick a V/W bus. Made roadworthy, and nice looking. Plenty of room sits high and I do not need super speed for my driving. Maybe I'm still in the Stuck in the sixties!

Interesting to hear Jay mentioning the e55. I remember how I briefly saw it several years ago in the background in his video clips and wondered why he would buy something that looks like a "bog standard" car. This is the first time that he mentions the car explicitly. In that regard, I always wondered what cars he uses for the aspects that he mentioned here (commuting, shopping etc.).

I believe he's mentioned he uses the 500 Abarth and Model S often for those duties

These are proper cars! Electric can never replace this.

Jay, I drove a Mercedes-Benz AMG Black Series on a pro race track, & to really appreciate that car you have to put new tires on it & take it to the track. ;)

I own and drive a 2007 CLK350, with the naturally aspirated V6 with 268 hp & 258 lb ft torque. My car is already a pretty dang fast car as it is. I can only imagine how fast a Black Series is.

Black series for me is reminiscent of when you drove to Lemans raced and drove home. But!.... Where will she be in 30 years? Can you repair the complex electronics? In theme. I have a 89 c126 euro ruff. I can fix her. Cross continents at 240km in comfort. Aka...coupe also. To me the height of mercedes quality and legacy of Bruno design Respect but for me...give me something I can fix. 30 years from now? We will see. Think both u would agree.

I think Jay is drunk in this episode...

What's the point of the camera crew when you hardly show their footage. Because Donald drives like my Grandmother we don't capture the essence of the car, so dwelling on their faces while talking is double the mundane-ness. Just keep it on the external shots
