Clive the Corvette: six years of adventures
Фильм және анимация
This is a look back on six years of Corvette C6 ownership, between January 2018 and spring 2024. Now approaching 230,000 miles, my C6 has taken me across the US, around Europe and into North Africa. In this video I reveal my most ambitious adventure yet, in summer 2024.
Please like and subscribe, it makes a big difference.
You can buy my three 'Clive The Corvette' children's books from the National Corvette Museum Store: corvettestore.com/collections...
Marc Peters has spent considerable time filming sections of this video and editing it together, showing great patience (with me!) and skill. I am proud that both he and Joe Perry will be filming and providing live coverage of this summer's road trip (revealed in this video).
With thanks to my 2024 sponsors: Yokohama Tyres UK, Liqui Moly and Matty Evans Racing, who I buy my Liqui Moly products from.
I have competed on Yokohama tyres for many years, mostly recently on the AD09 tyres. To show this tyres versatility I will be completing my next adventure on the same set of AD09 that I competed on at Silverstone in February.
Liqui Moly octane booster was particularly useful during the Africa trip, with no access to premium fuel for more than 1000 miles. Quality oil is at least partly responsible for the LS2 having passed 229,000 miles with few issues, despite being driven hard on track.
These life changing experiences would not have been possible without support from my wife, Beth, little son, Austin and friends Mike Buchanan, Mark Eaton and Felix Page.
Thank you to former 'Clive' owner Jay, his wife Michelle and also to Ivan Stroganov, whose car I drove back in 2016 at Laguna Seca and who helped me negotiate US insurance in 2018.

Thank you Miles.
Wow. The original owner could not have sold the car to a better buyer. Exceptional story, and thank you for sharing it.
Wow I actually cannot imagine buying a corvette, no matter what gen, at 190k miles. But hey! Seems like it was worth it!
Great story 🌞
WHAT A FAN IS THIS MAN!!!!! Though British born AM-ER-I-CAN, of soul is he! With 8 jug 'V', His engine roars 400 H.P.!!!! A thund'rous noise and lightning speed C6 Corvette Oh Stampede, Take me here. and take me there, Please dear "Clive", do not dispair. You will have your treks and races, driven well, through all your paces!!!!!! Here's a guy who starts Vette ownership with an example that's already accumulated 190,000 miles, and then he drives the car all around three of the six human inhabited continents, (no doubt he'll venture to the other three) and along the way he's exchanged out some of the stock parts in the car, installing track use appropriate counterparts, and further he's actively and repeatedly indulged in contests on race tracks that are situated hither and yon!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, there's a comment! 😎 Loving the poetry, thank you.
You bought the car from my friend! Used to see the car at many a Y&T show, glad to see it went to someone who loves it as much as Jay did.

Jay was a great person to buy from. He'd clearly looked after the car, was honourable on how he dealt with each prospective buyer in turn and was patient with me whilst it took a few weeks to make the arrangements to come over and collect it. Many sellers would have chosen the easier/less risky option of selling the car to a local. I've remembered that and actually sold one of my cars last year to someone overseas. Thanks for following the story, I will do my best to keep enjoying and looking after this Vette. :)
