Clipping a DEM (Extraction by Mask) and Generating Contours using a DEM Raster

This tutorial consists of two parts. The first part explains you how to cut/ clip or extract a part of a DEM using the Extraction by Mask method. The second half of the tutorial shows you how to convert the raster into contour lines with a specified contour interval

    Great!! I am a beginner and your videos are just great. Can you teach how to analyze change in water bodies over a period of time using satelite images? Its part of my project and i have very little knowledge on it. Thank you

    Can you explain why did u use extraction by mask not the clip tool itself?

    You can use the clip tool as well, but make sure you use the clip (data management) tool, and tick 'Use Input Features for Clipping Geometry'.
