the fact that it's automatic... you should have to push the button for it to do 1 push. Put in tater, push button once, piston pushes once.

I think this machine should have a body that completely encloses it, and it should just have a potato compartment that you can't fit your hand into.

In fast food restaurants in the US, it's a very similar machine but you push it manually with a lever

Seems like that could do with a guard to prevent fingers from getting caught. So many ways that process could be made safer. Even just loading the potatoes with tongs instead of hands.

Why do people always look for ways to save ourselves from ourselves.. If you keep telling 2 yr old Johny the stove is hot. Then one day Johny starts telling you the stove is hot, guess what he touched it. The world is a learning curve, if your smart enough to consider that you could cut a finger on that machine then you likely wont. Load that machine with a bunch of safety shields and guards then might as well go back to that safe knife that never cuts a finger. I am sure that machine has a speed dial making it safe for all.

I like that the emergency stop is to the far right of the machine. Majority of people being right handed means if they get their hand stuck, it's as awkward a position as possible to reach across with their left to get the emergency stop.

There should not be any need of physical dexterity to put a potato into a machine. Given that, being right handed, I would want to have my right hand free to quickly push the stop button. I see the same stupid thinking at a drive up ATM, people reaching over with their right hand to push the buttons, when the left one is closer. to the number pad. SMH
