+jordan jensen Ok long story short, ill try to keep the spelling correct as well. When Kim Il Sung passed away, before Kim Jong Il took power, Kim Jong Il was not informed by anyone. The CIA had found out about an hour after the death and immediately notified as the time, President Bill Clinton. President Clinton was also notified that Kim Jong Il had not been informed of his fathers passing and it was now approaching a couple hours later. Bill Clinton made a call directly to Kim Jong Il and was patched through. Event though he knew that North Korea was an enemy, Bill Clinton felt it was the respectable thing to do, and he informed Kim Jong Ilnof his fathers passing and sent his condolences to him. Not even Kim Il Sungs generals informed Kim Jong Il. Kim Jong Il felt that Bill Clintons gesture was very honorable, even though they were enemys. For years he wanted to personally thank Bill Clinton for what he did. It was not until the two boardering jumping Dumb Asses, I mean journalists were captured, that Bill Clinton decided to go to North Korea and finly speak to Kim Jong Il face to face and accept his thanks for what happened so many years before. Bill Clinton used this to get the two women out. Bill Clinton in a photo can be seen whispering into the girls ears as they were leaving and told them tk Keep their faces down and not to say a Damn word till thet are safely landed out of North Korea. If you look in the photos of Bill Clinton and Kim Jong Il, you notice No one is smiling and even a few of the assistants of Bill are looming away and making hard to notice faces. This is because they would not give North Korea a photo that they can use for propaganda, and for them to say something like, "America is happy to be in our great country, even american presidents", or what ever else they would say... So yeah, thats the long story short. Any Questions?

KosukiFire OK so that's the personal love for Clinton i do understand now thanks for that, but also i would of thought that the main reason why the north loves Clinton so much was because of the administration pardoning the north out of the terror list and relaxing international sanctions into the country

It is true that Clinton called Kim Jong Il before his domestic colleagues and before any other world leaders did, and Kim Jong Il greatly admired him for this gesture. However, Kim Jong Il certainly knew that his father had passed away before they talked. But it's certainly possible that Clinton's respectful nature kept these girls from a labor camp.

Clinton is a stud...i'll give him credit for that.
