Clint419 and Nike's Love/Hate Relationship (CRTZ X Nike Collab - Pt 2)
Before the epic collaboration that gifted us the CRTZ Air Max 95, there was a legal battle between Nike and Clint419. In this video, Jasper Mitchell looks into the long term effects of the trademark dispute, how Clint blocked No Sauce Bry from reselling Corteiz clothing on his website, and why Nike were forced to embrace Clint despite his continued use of the "Corteiz Rules The World" trademark which they had invalidated. The truth behind Nike working with Clint419.

A lot of people in lagos and nigeria as a whole fw corteiz on another level and we've got a lot of fashion brands that are pushing boundaries over here with their own P. They aren't just as recognized cuz a lot of nigerians aren't really supportive of black owned brands from their own country, they rather purchase from other internationally recognised fashion houses and brands, also not many Nigerians have enough bread to purchase a beanie for 20£ not to talk of buying a jacket for 300£ which is probably one of the reasons clint doesn't ship to Nigeria and many other African countries. All of these issues just makes it harder for the fashion brands here and that's why motherlan even chose to move to the UK with many others moving out of here to push their ting in more inviting spaces.

I wasn't saying Lagos don't care about fashion btw, the Lagos pop-up just happened to be on the screen when I said that part. The term "Flygerian" must exist for a reason, right? 😅 Once I establish 7igures in the UK I will be highlighting African brands and African-American brands. The world will see what the diaspora has to offer 🙏🏽

@@7iguresTVThere are a lot of fashion brands in Lagos and Abj some people do support them even the ones that do not have money is not easy in Africa One thing that is very important is we should keep supporting big brands and ones that are still coming up we pushing every day I also have a brand also and some of my friends I do sow for. I like your content very detailed cheers

Just found your channel with this vid, great content my guy. Subbed 💯
That make sense as to why clint never stocked the all over logo jogger/shorts again. Shame because those were his best pieces by a mile

Great content straight A-1 love the storytelling and facts to go with it. Me running a New York-based brand and getting to London's fashion brands is dope, love the London vibes.

yeah you really captuvated yhe blur between being bappy for seeing people like yourself from your culture specifically doing well to the fine line between selling out or being used, as we measure success of capital gain also your voice is satisfying to listen too
Yoo what was that about lagos not caring about fashion???
W video
I know something now
Let's fucking goooooooo
Very interesting legal video.
Nike gonna slime him out eventually…
That Reece guy is jealous the young audience makes people rich look at ksi, central cee all young audiences
Nike doesn’t need to be on good terms with Clint, Nike doesn’t need to do anything 😂 Nike can let him do his ting it doesn’t really affect anything either way. I’m proud of him but same way the brand can easily fall on the waist line and become uncool in like 2 years 🤷♂️
Do you have an email I can get into contact with you, with? I’m from the USA and would love to work on sum with you
